Councilmember Solorio inquired about the survey and outreach. <br />Daniel Soto addressed council on the survey. <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge spoke regarding the survey. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Villegas expressed the importance of community engagement. <br />Councilmember Bacerra spoke regarding public input. <br />Councilmember Penaloza spoke regarding lifetime ban on term limits and public <br />input. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Villegas spoke regarding transparency and the importance of <br />community input. <br />Councilmember Penaloza spoke regarding community outreach. <br />Mayor Pulido spoke in support of clean-up language. <br />Public Comments: <br />Thai Phan spoke regarding term limits with no cooling off period and various other <br />topics. <br />Steve Gallegos spoke regarding term limits. <br />Council discussion continued. <br />Councilmember Solorio expressed that direction has been provided to staff. <br />Motion to motion failed due to lack of second to continue item to the next meeting <br />with staff to provide costs, describe a way to methodically go through the items for <br />council to make a decision and send out Nixle alerts along with social media posts. <br />Moved by Councilmember Bacerra. <br />Councilmember Sarmiento spoke as to the process. <br />City Attorney Sonia Carvalho advised council that staff has captured council direction. <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge read out council direction received at meeting: Staff is to <br />return with item at the next council meeting and in the interim will encourage community <br />input.
