AND C BELOW <br />SUBSURFACE IMAGING FOR <br />SUBSURFACE UTILITY ENGINEERING <br />SERVICES FOR A FIVE-YEAR TERM IN AN <br />AGGREGATE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br />$750,000 <br />(NON -GENERAL FUND) <br />/s/ Kristine <br />CITY MANAGER <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 1� Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />1�1��►U1�1:1q:7 <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with T2 UES, Inc., AZTEC Engineering <br />California, Inc., and C Below, Inc. to provide subsurface utility engineering services for the three- <br />year period beginning September 15, 2020, and ending on September 14, 2023, with a provision <br />for one two-year extensions, for a total shared aggregate amount not to exceed $750,000 subject <br />to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On April 24, 2020, the Public Works Agency issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for consultants <br />to provide as -needed subsurface utility engineering services for the Water Resources Division. The <br />chosen consultants will locate and identify underground utilities during the planning, design, pre - <br />construction, and construction phases of Water Resources Division capital improvement projects. <br />These services will assist staff in minimizing potential conflicts between proposed improvements <br />and other underground utilities, thereby reducing the potential for unforeseen conditions during <br />construction activities. <br />The RFP was advertised on the City's online bid management and publication system, with bids <br />due by May 14, 2020. Forty-four contractors downloaded the project documents. Five proposals <br />were received and evaluated by a selection committee based on criteria as outlined in the RFP. <br />Listed below are the contractors selected for award and their scores: <br />25D-1 <br />
