2020 COPS Hiring Program Grant <br />September 15, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br />The grant requires that at the end of the three-year performance period, the City must retain these <br />10 additional police officer positions for a minimum of 12 months, over and above locally -funded <br />positions that would have existed in the absence of the grant. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The recommendation will recognize $1,250,000 total revenue over a two-year period in the <br />Department of Justice Grants revenue account (No. 12714002-52001) and appropriate the FY20- <br />21 portion of $536,572 in the COPS Hiring Grant account (No. 12714409-various).
