Agreement with Aramark Correctional Services, LLC <br />October 20, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br />Vendor <br />Score <br />Aramark Correctional Services, Inc. <br />95 <br />OurHome Catering, INC <br />85 <br />Trinity Service Group <br />82 <br />100 point max <br />Aramark Correctional Services was the most responsive, capable, and cost effective respondent. <br />The Police Department proposes to enter into a three-year agreement (Exhibit 1) with Aramark, <br />for the period of October 20, 2020, through June 30, 2023, in an amount not to exceed <br />$3,514,950. This agreement also allows the City to compensate Aramark for any services <br />provided since July 1, 2020. The per -meal cost at the current average daily population (over 400) <br />is $2.50 per meal. This agreement cost of $3,514,950 will provide food service for approximately <br />400 inmates, and includes a 7 percent contingency ($229,950) to cover increases in average <br />daily population, per meal cost increases, and other unanticipated expenses. The agreement <br />includes language that allows Aramark to request per -meal cost increases based on CPI and the <br />yearly percentage change in the Market Basket of Products included in the agreement. The <br />three-year agreement includes two one-year renewal options, which must be approved by the <br />City Council. <br />Aramark Correctional Services LLC has been the provider of inmate food services since 1997 <br />and continues to perform these services in a professional and competent manner. All meals are <br />prepared based on the State of California Code of Regulations, Title 15 nutritional requirements <br />along with all Orange County Health Department health and safety requirements. Through this <br />agreement, Aramark Correctional Services, LLC also provides catering services to various City <br />functions, operates the inmate commissary program, and operates the Code-7 staff cafeteria <br />located within the Police Administration building.
