The new park will include a cultural <br />area, multi -use trail, and various artwork and amenities. <br />Stantec provided surveying and engineering services, <br />including grading, utilities, drainage, and traffic plans as a <br />subcontractor to landscape architecture firm NUVIS. <br />East Garden Grove-Wintersburg Channel and <br />Fullerton Creek Channel, Orange County, CA <br />Phil provided HEC RAS floodplain analysis for the East <br />Garden Grove- Wintersburg Channel and Fullerton Creek <br />Channel, as part of Orange County Flood Control District's <br />FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Application. <br />Carbon Creek Channel Facility Study Needs <br />Assessment, Brea, CA <br />Phil prepared a study to establish the scope of work for a <br />preliminary design report for the Carbon Creek Channel <br />facility. <br />1.710 Corridor Improvement Project, Long Beach, CA <br />Phil reviewed and provided comments on hydrology <br />and drainage issues for the proposed 1-710 corridor <br />improvement project, as part of the Environmental Impact <br />Report assistance required by the City of Long Beach <br />Environmental Planning Program. Stantec also reviewed <br />and commented on water quality, active transportation, <br />and community enhancement elements as a subcontractor <br />to Michael Baker International. <br />Montalvo Canyon Drainage Study, San Clemente, CA <br />Phil provided HEC RAS analysis for proposed channel <br />improvements near the outlet of Montalvo Creek at the <br />Pacific Ocean. As a subcontractor to FluvialTech Inc., <br />Stantec provided civil engineering services, including cost <br />estimating; boundary survey; preparation of PS&Es for <br />bank establishment and channel restoration; bid package; <br />coordination and meetings; and engineering support <br />during construction. <br />Planning Area 39, Phase 2B - Los Olivos, Irvine, CA <br />Phil provided drainage management services, including <br />sediment yield, water quality design capture volume, <br />and a hydrology report for a mixed -use community. The <br />project is part of Stantec's construction support services <br />for improvements to the tentative parcel map, street, and <br />utility infrastructure. <br />Eland 1 Solar Farm (2018), California City, CA <br />Stantec provided peer review of archaeology and historical <br />assessment to evaluate potential impacts on cultural <br />resources at a solar farm in California City, California. Phil <br />provided a preliminary hydrology and drainage study for <br />an addendum to the final Environmental Impact Report. <br />2530 Arden Way, Sacramento, California <br />Phil provided HEC RAS floodplain analysis of Strong <br />Ranch Slough as part of proposed improvements at 2530 <br />Arden Way in Sacramento, California. <br />Laguna Audubon Retarding Basin Improvement (2018 <br />— Ongoing), Laguna Beach, CA <br />Phil provided preparation of technical specifications and <br />special provisions, as part of final engineering services <br />for the Laguna Audubon Retarding Basin. The tributary <br />watershed area is approximately 706 acres and lies within <br />the cities of Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, and Aliso <br />Viejo. Stantec previously prepared a study to evaluate <br />the basin's current performance for the 2-, 5-,10-, 25-, <br />and 100-year expected value storm events and determine <br />if additional improvements to the basin could further <br />enhance its effectiveness. The study recommended three <br />alternatives in providing the basin with the prescribed <br />2-feet of freeboard above the Probable Maximum Flood <br />(PMF) water surface. The client selected to construct a <br />perimeter floodwall along the earthen basin crest and the <br />extension of existing concrete outlet channel walls to be <br />implemented. <br />Orange County Public Works Operations and <br />Maintenance Division*, Orange County, CA <br />Phil managed the ongoing maintenance and operations <br />of regional dams, pump stations, and water diversion <br />facilities where he oversaw maintenance supervisors <br />in charge of the County Worker and Court Referral <br />Programs, fabricators and installers, welders, and <br />carpenters in the Special Trades Section for County road <br />signs. <br />Orange County Public Works Design Division*, <br />Orange County, CA <br />Phil managed the engineers, project managers, design <br />engineers, and engineering technicians/draftsmen <br />employed in the OC Public Works Design Division. <br />Division responsibilities included developing technical <br />engineering studies and construction plans, specifications, <br />estimates, and construction documents for regional and <br />local infrastructure projects.
