<br />· Traffic-calming bumps to encourage safer and more responsible driving, and to <br />combat speeding and unsafe behaviors. <br /> <br />· Roadway striping to slow speeding traffic <br /> <br />· Narrowed roadways to slow traffic on residential streets, and improve pedestrian <br />and bicycle safety. Slower traffic reduces the severity of accidents, reduces noise,and improves the livability of residential streets. <br />o Narrowed streets may include, but not be limited to, landscape planters in <br />parking lanes, raised medians, curb bulb-outs at intersections and mid-block, or a chicane (a slight bump toward a travel lane that creates ashallow curve) causing vehicle movement to slow <br /> <br />· Roundabouts to improve traffic movement at key intersections, to reduce collisions, <br />and improve safety <br /> <br />One-way traffic movement to limit ingress into a neighborhood <br /> <br />5. And City Staff to request the Council take action to identify Downtown, Lacy, Logan,French Court and French Park as "Traffic-Calmed Neighborhoods" once all traffic mitigationand calming improvements are installed. <br /> <br />6. Tasks 1 through 5 become the sole responsibility of the One Broadway Plaza developer,and shall be: <br />· Required as Conditions of Approval on the project <br />· Included in to the City's Development Agreement for the project for the <br />Neighborhoods <br />· Fully funded by the Developer through a CASH deposit <br /> <br />The Neighborhoods seek these necessary remedies due to the severe lack of current andplanned traffic mitigation and calming measures denied them.
