rules and regulations related to the performance of the work, which include but are not <br />limited to the following: <br />a. Business License. The selected Proposer shall be required to obtain a City of Santa <br />Ana Business license within ten (10) business days of selection for a Task Order and <br />must provide a copy to the City Project Manager or designee prior to commencing <br />any work in Santa Ana. <br />b. Public Works Construction Permit (If Applicable). At such time and if the approved <br />Task Order work exceeds the thresholds within the Community Workforce <br />Agreement (CWA), the Contractor will be required to obtain a permit for CWA <br />oversight referred to as a "Public Works Construction Permit' for the applicable Task <br />Order. This amount is estimated to be a deposit amount $10,000. For Task Orders <br />below the CWA thresholds, this permit shall not be required, however other permits, <br />typical of certain types of construction work, may be required. If a Public Works <br />Construction Permit is required, the Contractor shall receive a refund on any unused <br />deposited amount or shall pay the City the amount needed above the deposited <br />amount. This permit will be based on actual time and material costs for the CWA <br />oversight of the applicable Task Order. An itemized breakdown of the permit fee <br />will be provided by the City to the Contractor, and the Contractor shall pay the City <br />any amount due prior to retention payment by the City. If the Contractor is due a <br />refund, the amount shall be paid by the City separate from but at the same time any <br />retention is paid to the Contractor. <br />c. Construction Water Permit (If Applicable). Each Prime Contractor or Subcontractor <br />which desires to obtain water from AGENCY -owned fire hydrants for construction <br />or any other purpose shall first obtain and pay for a permit from the Corporate Yard <br />of the City of Santa Ana, at 220 South Daisy Avenue. Information concerning costs <br />and conditions may be obtained from the AGENCY by calling (714) 647-3320. Use <br />of private water from a hose bib is not allowed. <br />For safety reasons, the AGENCY will not allow Contractor to stretch construction <br />water hoses across open traffic lanes. Where required, Contractor shall use water <br />truck. <br />d. Disposal Permit (If Applicable). hi accordance with the procedures of the Orange <br />County General Services Administration (GSA), the cost for the disposal of all <br />materials at County landfill sites shall be home by the Contractor. <br />e. Building and Electrical Permits (If Applicable). For projects involving building, <br />structural construction, traffic signal or irrigation controller installation, the Prime <br />Contractor shall obtain the necessary building and electrical permits from the <br />Planning & Building Agency. There will be no fees for these permits. <br />f. State Division of Industrial Safety Permits (If Applicable). In accordance with <br />Section 6500 of the State Labor Code, permits are required for all excavations, which <br />City of Santll�^ (;F@ fAl06 <br />
