Space Planning & Architectural Consulting Services {RFP No, 20-0403 <br />INTRODUCTION <br />GPa's experience involves collaboration with public agencies on a broad range of projects with varying <br />complexity, scope of work, and size; <br />• We have expertise In needs assessment, space, and master planning for a large range of public <br />facilities including many local Municipal/Wafer District Campuses and Headquarter facilities. <br />• We have a wealth of experience with public agencies building new community centers, <br />classrooms, training rooms, administration buildings, and city yard facilities from the ground up <br />- schematic design through construction administration and permitting. We offer full services in <br />Architecture and Interior Design, <br />• Our skills and experience encompass working with the community and the ctyto attain entitlements <br />for projects large and small. We are able to generate 3D renderings and clear graphics that <br />communicate a project's intention to owners, community, and the project team. <br />r1R0Jr-(7T ter E! AP11 STY <br />Our philosophy involves having Jack, the principal, work on the project day to day from project initiation <br />up through move -in day and beyond. Beyond having the principal involved throughout all phases, we <br />ensure that a great relationship and rapport is maintained with a consistent team. Either Vic or Kent will <br />be providing protect support along side Jack throughout the entire course of the project. No assigned <br />personnel will be substituted without the approval of the City. <br />Because there is no Interruption in communication with leadership transition, we have a high success rate <br />in completing projects within scope, on time, and on budget. <br />i.WRONI'u'EI_`NIA1. SrENSILWHY <br />Gillis + Panichapan Architects, Inc. believe sustainabiiity is a major cornerstone of our practice and work. <br />Whether or not a project seeks certification for LEED, we commit to sustainable practices in every one of <br />the projects we work on. Considering cost and schedule, we maximize our projects to contain the greatest <br />number of sustainable features within the design. We believe this is an optimal approach for cost savings, <br />long term maintenance, and minimizing impact on the site and the environment overall. <br />Every architect at GPa Is LEED accredited and well quaiifled to guide your project towards practical <br />sustainable design solutions or LEED certification. We have achieved LEED certification in a large number <br />of our municipal projects. <br />-pb A8: r�1. <br />At the beginning of a project for any size and budget range, our approach to effectively manage the <br />project cost, schedule and qualify begins with defining the project scope, and aligning It to the City's <br />goals, budget, and timing for completion. This Information Is presented and discussed at the Kick-off <br />meeting with the Agency and the goals are mutually established. <br />In the event where the project budget and timeline is defined prior to the meeting, we will develop and <br />submit the preliminary schedule denoting key milestones and deliverables for the City to review and <br />obtain their feedback at the Klckoff meeting. <br />During the progress of the project design, formal organized workshops will be provided to share our findings <br />with the City's Team. The project progress will be presented in Interactive workshops for input and guidance <br />for Iterative refinements. These workshops would Involve collaboration with the City's staff to discuss design <br />ideas and how it impacts operational needs. This process wlll be a chance to showcase progress and <br />gauge reaction.
