I urge you to <br />support this program because it will help facilitate a much-needed transition to renewable energy. As an added <br />bonus, it can also save customers money and bring revenue to our community by keeping our rate-payer dollars <br />in Santa Ana. <br /> <br />It is already working in many cities throughout California. CCE’s bring millions and savings to each <br />city: Irvine is looking at $10.6 million in annual net revenue and $7.7 million in annual savings for Irvine <br />consumers- while reducing emissions equal to recovering 78,000 cars off the road. <br /> <br />When Santa Ana joins with other cities, the program would generate $92 million per year in revenue by 2031. <br />This money can be used for COVID relief as so many cities are doing now, EV charging stations, subsidies for <br />EV vehicles, green public transportation-- all sorts of programs to green OC.
