<br />Professional Summary
<br />Mr. Burce is a registered civil engineer with over 25 years of professional
<br />experience in project and construction management, including planning,
<br />design, resource allocation, and cost/schedule management of major
<br />projects. He has extensive experience in providing PM and CM services for
<br />water/wastewater treatment facilities, wells, pump stations, storm water
<br />detention / retention systems, transportation, parking structures, industrial,
<br />educational, residential, and land development projects during the design and
<br />construction phases.
<br />Mr. Burce has diverse project experience in public works and real estate
<br />development. This background provides him with an in-depth understanding
<br />of civil engineering disciplines. His professional responsibilities have ranged
<br />from feasibility study, geotechnical, civil design, complex drainage design and
<br />regulatory requirements, technical specifications development and
<br />preparation of bid documents, design/constructability review, schedule
<br />preparation, field implementation and supervision, and construction
<br />management.
<br />Project Experience
<br />Resident Engineer, San Lorenzo Sewer Lift Station; Santa Ana, CA; City
<br />of Santa Ana, Public Works (Completion: 0612021; Value: $7.6 million) —
<br />The San Lorenzo Sewage Lift Station Project consists of construction of the
<br />following: lift station —below ground dry and wet wells; aboveground CMU
<br />block building; three (3) 15 hp dry pit sewage pumps; piping, fittings, valves,
<br />flow meter, in -line grinders, rail and hoist system; HVAC, ventilation and
<br />ducting; electrical and instrumentation; site grading and improvements; 560
<br />(LF) of 15" gravity sewer pipe; 190 (LF) of 12" gravity sewer pipe; 545 (LF) of
<br />10" force main; sewer manholes and appurtenances; and abandonment of
<br />existing Segerstrom Lift Station.
<br />Resident Engineer, Mid -Basin Injection: Centennial Park Project; Santa
<br />Ana, CA; Orange County Water District (Completion: 03/2020; Value:
<br />$29.6 million) —The Mid -Basin Injection project consisted of the construction
<br />of the following: four groundwater injection wells in below grade vaults; two
<br />(2) monitoring wells; a purified recycled water injection supply pipeline
<br />approximately 5,700 feet long that connects to the District's existing
<br />Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) pipeline and crosses the Santa
<br />Ana River; a backflush discharge pipeline approximately 4,200 feet long that
<br />discharges to the Greenville -Banning Channel and Centennial Park Lake;
<br />installation of submersible pumps within the four injection wells; replacement
<br />of approximately 9.6 acres of paving within the Park; demolishing an existing
<br />City of Santa Ana restroom facility; and constructing two new buildings with
<br />shared City and District uses. Mr. Burce coordinated closely with the City
<br />of Santa Ana, Santa Ana Unified School District, Heritage Museum, and
<br />state and federal agencies.
