THIS ENDORSEMENT CHANGES THE POLICY. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY. <br />THE <br />HARTFORD <br />BUSINESS INCOME FOR CIVIL AUTHORITY ACTIONS <br />This endorsement modifies insurance provided under the following: <br />SPECIAL PROPERTY COVERAGE FORM <br />Except as otherwise stated in this endorsement, the terms and conditions of the Policy apply. <br />A. The following is added to Paragraph A.6., Coverage Extensions: <br />Business Income for Civil Authority Actions <br />(1) When a Covered Cause of Loss causes direct physical loss or direct physical damage to property other <br />than at the "scheduled premises", we will pay for the actual loss of Business Income you sustain and <br />necessary Extra Expense you incur during the "civil authority period of restoration" caused by action of <br />civil authority that prohibits access to the "scheduled premises" provided that both of the following apply: <br />(a) Access to the area immediately surrounding the damaged property is prohibited by civil authority as a <br />result of the damage, and the "scheduled premises" are within that area but are not more than one <br />mile from the damaged property; and <br />(b) The action of civil authority is taken in response to dangerous physical conditions resulting from the <br />damage or continuation of the Covered Cause of Loss that caused the damage, or the action is taken <br />to enable a civil authority to have unimpeded access to the damaged property. <br />(2) With respect to the requirements set forth in the preceding paragraph, if you occupy only part of the site <br />at which the "scheduled premises" are located, your "scheduled premises" also means: <br />(a) The portion of the building which you rent, lease or occupy; and <br />(b) The area within 1,000 feet of the building or within 1,000 feet of the "scheduled premises", whichever <br />distance is greater (with respect to loss of or damage to personal property in the open or personal <br />property in a vehicle); and <br />(c) Any area within the building or on the site at which the "scheduled premises" are located, but only if <br />that area services, or is used to gain access to, the "scheduled premises". <br />(3) Business Income means the: <br />(a) Net Income (Net Profit or Loss before income taxes) that would have been earned or incurred if <br />access to the "scheduled premises" had not been prohibited by action of civil authority, but not <br />including any Net Income that would likely have been earned as a result of an increase in the volume <br />of business due to favorable business conditions caused by the impact of the Covered Cause of Loss <br />on customers or on other businesses; and <br />(b) Continuing normal operating expenses incurred, including payroll expenses. <br />(4) Payroll expenses include: <br />(a) Payroll; <br />(b) Employee benefits; if directly related to payroll; <br />(c) FICA payments you pay; <br />(d) Union dues you pay; and <br />(e) Workers' compensation premiums. <br />(5) Extra Expense means expense incurred: <br />(a) To avoid or minimize the suspension of business and to continue "operations"; <br />(b) To minimize the suspension of business if you cannot continue "operations"; or <br />(c) To: <br />(i) Repair or replace any property; or <br />eGF �D <br />Form SP 30 19 10 18 ��/ 1°x REVIEWED & APPROVED BY.- <br />© 2018, The Hartford <br />(May include copyrighted material of Insurance Services Office, Inc., with its 1— -- P r skPjanagementAnalpt <br />
