Applicant Goals: <br />Proiect #1 <br />Goal <br />Enhance local and regional operational capabilities and readiness. <br />Objectives <br />Enhance the capabilities of EOC personnel through planning, training and exercises to <br />develop/ensure staff is well trained for emergency operations <br />Description: <br />Utilize lessons learned from previous exercises, emergencies, disasters and oversight <br />report to develop strategies to improve operational effectiveness. <br />Performance Measures: <br />Review and update emergency plans. Update and attend existing training that is <br />provided by the City and regionally. Develop, conduct and participate in the local and <br />the Operational Area exercises. <br />Project #2 <br />Goal <br />Improve planning capabilities through the full implementation of the National Incident <br />Management System (NIMS), National Response Framework (NRF), and the use of <br />emergency technologies. <br />Objectives <br />Strengthen planning for intentional and natural disasters. <br />Description: <br />Develop and revise all hazard plans and procedures to be NIMS compliant. Integrate <br />the NRF into these plans and procedures. <br />Performance Measures: <br />Attend and participate in hazard specific working committees and NIMS Sub -committee. <br />Proiect #3 <br />Goal <br />Continue to promote professional growth through professional training for emergency <br />management and homeland security disciplines. <br />Objectives <br />Continue working with local and state training partners and other professional <br />organizations to develop/enhance emergency management courses.
