Mr. Ostdiek was responsible for the incorporation <br />of aesthetic features that met the City's vision of a signature crossing, <br />were buildable, and fit within the available funding. <br />West Capitol Avenue Streetscape Improvements, West <br />Sacramento, CA I This project reduced West Capitol Avenue from <br />six lanes to four, including wider sidewalks, bicycle lanes, <br />reconfigured traffic lanes, utility upgrades and relocations, new <br />lighting, and substantial planting and hardscape treatments. The <br />street was beautified with landscaping, public seating and streetlights <br />for both vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Joe was responsible for traffic <br />preparing all traffic signals improvements, streetlighting <br />improvements including temporary lighting.
