Kleinfelder Statement of Qualifications for On -Call Material Testing and Special Inspection Services <br />for City of Santa Ana, RFP No. 20-111 <br />DBE Subcontractor Participation <br />Kleinfelder has teamed with a highly qualified and experienced Disadvantaged Business <br />Enterprise (DBE) subcontractor and we intend to exceed the City's 10 percent goal for <br />federally funded projects. Transmat's President and founder, Mr. Kreetha <br />DBE (CUCP) W222 Mekchai, has 20 years of experience in materials testing, <br />Accredited Laboratory inspection, geotechnical investigation, and laboratory <br />State of CA DIR Registered testing. TransMat employs several experienced laboratory <br />1000057301 (exp. 06122) and field (soils, asphalt concrete, PCC) testers and batch <br />Established: 2017 plant inspectors. These laboratory testers and field <br />Role: Testing & inspection technicians/inspectors are experienced with field safety, <br />services defensive driving, and specific project safety requirements. <br />d. Understanding of Need <br />Kleinfelder understands that the City requires the services of a qualified firm to provide experienced <br />field and laboratory staff on an as -needed basis to perform materials testing and inspection services <br />for various Capital Improvement Projects within the City. Projects may include street pavement, <br />traffic signals, underground utilities, buildings, bridges, and park facility improvements. <br />Work is anticipated to include testing and inspections for construction activities involving grading, <br />soils, base material, concrete, masonry, asphalt concrete, structural steel, reinforcing steel, painting <br />and to provide other quality assurance (QA) services when required. <br />Kleinfelder acknowledges that City projects may be funded with State and Federal grant funds <br />administered by Caltrans. <br />In general, the requested services may include materials testing and inspection services of the <br />following: <br />* Mix Designs <br />* Masonry Prisms <br />* Asphalt Concrete <br />* Concrete <br />* Mortar and Grout <br />* Reinforcing Steel <br />* Concrete Blocks <br />* Fireproofing <br />* Environmental <br />Materials Testing and Inspection Services Work Plan <br />* Brick Masonry <br />* Soils <br />* Aggregates <br />Kleinfelder expects to furnish all personnel, laboratory facilities, transportation, materials, supplies <br />and equipment necessary to perform services requested under this contract. Depending on the <br />funding source, all services will be provided in accordance with the California Building Code (CBC), <br />Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Green Book), Caltrans Standard <br />Specifications, as well as OSHA Construction Industry Standards, and other applicable codes. All of <br />our personnel who will conduct the sampling and testing will be certified by the proper authority <br />having jurisdiction for the project, and a copy of their certifications will be on file in the office of <br />the Construction Engineer prior to any work being performed on the project. <br />"'w1C9, ''P Kleinfelder 6 �IIIE ER <br />
