Our team's existing knowledge <br />with Caltrans staff, equipment, and processes means we require no <br />training and have no learning curve. This results in high levels of <br />quality assurance. <br />Local Response/Efficiency from Dispatch to Report Distribution. <br />Kleinfelder was able to draw upon a team of nearly two dozen <br />materials staff with current Caltrans TL-0111 certifications. This large <br />pool of materials engineering testers allows the team to assist the <br />Caltrans staff in load -leveling with minimal disruption to meet their <br />construction testing needs. <br />Cost Savings. The Kleinfelder team utilized multiple laboratory <br />facilities for equipment storage and materials testing services to <br />minimize travel time and provide quicker laboratory testing turn- <br />around times. <br />Kleinfelder is currently <br />performing as -needed <br />l� geotechnical <br />engineering and <br />r IFmaterials testing and <br />Inspection services as <br />( an extension to the city <br />t engineering <br />department. Our <br />services have included <br />multiple task orders <br />requesting materials testing and inspection services during the <br />rehabilitation of multiple residential streets and main commuter routes <br />with the city. <br />Typical task orders have included construction observation and field <br />and laboratory testing of engineered fill soils and backfill, aggregate <br />base rock, asphalt concrete and PCC utilized during utility and street <br />improvement projects. <br />CLIENT BENEFITS <br />Staff Expertise/Quality Work: Kleinfelder's local staff hold <br />certifications by the Asphalt Institute, AWSICWI, NACE, ACI, ICC <br />as well as Caltrans proficiency.
