jmf 7/14/21 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021-041 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE WATER SUPPLY <br />ASSESSMENT FOR THE PROPOSED WARNER REDHILL <br />MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with California Water Code Sections 10910, <br />10912(a)(1), and 10912(a)(6), any development that is proposing a residential <br />development of more than 500 dwelling units requires the preparation and approval of a <br />water supply assessment; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Warner Redhill Mixed Use Development Project, <br />formerly known as The Bowery Project, located at the intersection of Red Hill Avenue <br />and Warner Avenue, is proposing development of 1,150 residential dwelling units and <br />also 80,000 square feet of retail space; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Warner Redhill Mixed Use Development Project <br />therefore requires the preparation and approval of a water supply assessment pursuant <br />to California Water Code Sections 10910 and 10912; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is the public water system that will supply water <br />to the proposed Warner Redhill Mixed Use Development Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has prepared and filed its 2020 Urban Water Management <br />Plan, though separate review of water supply sufficiency is required under the above - <br />referenced state law for large projects like this; and <br />WHEREAS, the Water Supply Assessment for the Warner Redhill Mixed Use <br />Development Project has been prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the findings from the Water Supply Assessment prepared for the <br />Warner Redhill Mixed Use Development Project show that there is sufficient water supply <br />available for the proposed Warner Redhill Mixed Use Development Project during normal, <br />single -dry, and multiple dry years within a 20-year projection to meet the projected water <br />demand of the Project in addition to other future service area demands in the City of Santa <br />Ana. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana as follows: <br />Section 1. The Water Supply Assessment for the Warner Redhill Mixed Use <br />Development Project is hereby approved, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A and <br />will be on file at the offices of the Public Works Agency of the City for public inspection. <br />Resolution No. 2021-041 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
