For over fifty years, Waste Management has served as both a service provider and active community partner to the residents, businesses and organizations in the City of Santa Ana. Their local team of drivers and support staff have a proven track record of delivering superior waste and recycling services at equitable rates, while maintaining a company- wide, best -in -the -industry safety record. With Waste Management's support, the City of Santa Ana has received numerous recognitions for their environmental outreach and programs. These include recognizing recyclers in Santa Ana's neighborhoods, and being one of the first cities in the state to implement the three cart automated system. Waste Management also plays a vital role in Santa Ana's vibrant and growing economy. They provide over 120 quality jobs to Santa Ana residents, purchase local goods and services and partner with other local businesses to help them achieve their sustainability goals. Waste Management also maintains a strong commitment to the Santa Ana community. They are proud supporters and donate waste and recycle boxes for our public events. Because of these reasons, we strongly urge the City Council to vote in favor of retaining Waste Management as its franchise hauler.
