considered for transfer credit. <br />Pacific College has not entered into an articulation or transfer agreement with any other college or <br />university. <br />Challenge Examinations <br />The maximum number of credits accepted for challenge examinations is 15 semester units. Recognized <br />challenge examinations include: <br />Advanced Placement (AP); <br />College -Level Examination Program (CLEP); <br />DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST); <br />Experiential Learning Credit <br />Pacific College does not grant credit for prior experiential learning except as required by law. <br />Disciplinary Hearing Procedures <br />The Disciplinary Hearing committees consist of a minimum of three (3) members. The Vice President of <br />Instruction, an administrative staff member, member of the faculty, and a faculty member selected by the <br />student. If the student fails to provide the name of a faculty member, the Vice President of Instruction <br />may appoint one. The Vice President of Instruction serves as the chairperson. <br />The committee will review the information provided and the committee decision will be based on a <br />majority decision based on the evidence. The Vice President of Instruction will provide written <br />notification of the committee's decision to the student and all stakeholders within seven (7) days of the <br />meeting. <br />Hearing Rights <br />In disciplinary and appeal hearings, parties have the following rights: <br />• To be present during the hearing; <br />• To be informed of all evidence received by the committee; <br />• To present witnesses; <br />• To submit evidence on behalf of their own position; <br />• To challenge evidence presented by the opposing party; <br />• To make a summary argument. <br />Student Appeal Process <br />Students who believe they have been wrongfully or excessively penalized may appeal the committee <br />decision. The appeal must be requested in writing within thirty (30) days of notification of the committee <br />decision and be directed to the Vice President of Instruction. In order for the Vice President of Instruction <br />to convene an appeals committee, a student must establish that there is sufficient cause for an appeal. It <br />is the responsibility of the student to submit a clear, coherent, written statement providing the grounds <br />for appeal including any supporting documentation. <br />Students will not be eligible to appeal if they are terminated for exceeding the maximum program time <br />limit. <br />Pacific College 2020-2021 Catalog 41 <br />
