launched the bilingual Health Equity COVID-19 Contact Tracing curriculum in August - September, 2020 that trained 500 community and students members, and led to the hiring of 100+ contact tracers at UCI and the creation of the worker -cooperative called Radiate Consulting (see LHA Budget Justification). Faculty in the school collaborated with the City of Santa Ana on the COVID antibody testing student that found a positivity rate of 30% among community residents (over two times the county's test positivity rate for the city). Lastly, the school has led several efforts to educate county elected officials and representatives at the Orange County Health Care Agency about the critical importance of health equity perspective in deployment of education, testing, and vaccinations, which led in large part to the creation of a new Director of Population Health and Equity position at the county's leading public health institution.
