launched the bilingual Health Equity COVID-19 Contact Tracing curriculum in August - <br />September, 2020 that trained 500 community and students members, and led to the hiring of <br />100+ contact tracers at UCI and the creation of the worker -cooperative called Radiate <br />Consulting (see LHA Budget Justification). Faculty in the school collaborated with the City <br />of Santa Ana on the COVID antibody testing student that found a positivity rate of 30% <br />among community residents (over two times the county's test positivity rate for the city). <br />Lastly, the school has led several efforts to educate county elected officials and <br />representatives at the Orange County Health Care Agency about the critical importance of <br />health equity perspective in deployment of education, testing, and vaccinations, which led in <br />large part to the creation of a new Director of Population Health and Equity position at the <br />county's leading public health institution. <br />
