At <br />Worksite Review: <br />Worksite review will occur three times during their WEX training. The <br />worksite will be monitored for compliance of worksite agreement <br />and safety standards. The purpose will be to ensure that WEX youth <br />is receiving quality training while working in a safe and comfortable <br />environment. <br />PROJECT KINSHIP staff member is to visit the worksite before training <br />begins to meet with the WEX youth's supervisor. Staff is to do a <br />minimum of one visit halfway through training and a final visit a week <br />before training ends. <br />If corrective action is required after 15t visit the worksite supervisor <br />will be informed by PROJECT KINSHIP staff of any inconsistencies in <br />the worksites operations. A follow-up visit will be made within three <br />to five working days after the findings have been identified, to review <br />corrective action taken by worksite. <br />Allowable Expenditures: <br />WEX funds may be used to pay participant's wages and related <br />benefits for work experience in the public, private, for -profit or non- <br />profit sectors when the participant's objective assessment and <br />individual service strategy indicate that work experience is <br />appropriate. <br />Additional activities will be available to youth to receive additional <br />training, mentoring, coaching and tutoring when identified to increase <br />knowledge and successful completion of WIOA program. Allowable <br />expenditures beyond wages may include the following: <br />• Classroom training or the required academic education <br />component directly related to the work experience. <br />• Professional development training related to work experience <br />• Orientation sessions for WEX youth and employers <br />
