Vietnamese liaison. <br />Nati Alvarado spoke in support of the Boys and Girls Program and expressed <br />concern with the barriers that prevent participation. Requests that Revive funds be <br />applied towards community outreach. <br />Allison Vo requested the Immigration Deportation Defense Fund be a permanent <br />budget Item and be increased to $300, 000. Urged Council to hire a full-time <br />Vietnamese community liaison. <br />Carlos Perea with the Harbor Institute for Immigrant and Economic Justice spoke in <br />support of the Deportation Defense Fund, urged Council hire a full-time <br />Vietnamese community liaison, and provide Revive funds to the Transgender <br />community. <br />Victor Mendez spoke regarding the increase of workers compensation, outsource <br />police services through the Orange County Sheriff, parking deficit and various other <br />topics. <br />Clerk of the Council, Daisy Gomez, reported out on correspondence received. <br />Speaker Navarro urged Council invest is robust social services for the City rather <br />than policing and various other topics. <br />Manny Escamilla in support of the Deportation Defense Fund, a Vietnamese <br />liaison, the McFadden Library and various other topics. <br />Karla Juarez advocated for undocumented essential workers, Vietnamese liaison, <br />and the Transgender community. <br />Speaker supports a Vietnamese liaison. <br />Victor Payan, Director of Media Arts Santa Ana, spoke in support of using Revive <br />funding for the arts. <br />Hector Bustos with CHISPA spoke regarding financial burdens faced by families <br />throughout the City and urged Council to de -fund the police. <br />Jesus Santana spoke in support of applying funds towards <br />immigrants, Latinx and encourages council to prioritize community members. <br />Luis Sarmiento spoke in support of a Vietnamese community liaison and the <br />Transgender community.
