Planning and Building Agency <br />Item # 2 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Zoning Administrator Staff Report <br />October 20, 2021 <br />Topic: Minor Exception No. 2021-02 – Chilly Willy Desserts Front Yard Fence <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Adopt a resolution approving Minor Exception No. 2021-02 as conditioned. <br />EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br />Mike Rowland, representing the Chilly Willy Desserts Company, is requesting approval of <br />Minor Exception No. 2021-02 to allow the construction of a seven-foot high front yard fence <br />at 1201 East Fourth Street. Pursuant to Santa Ana Municipal Code (SAMC) Section 41- <br />632(3)(i), minor exception applications for fences require review by the Zoning <br />Administrator. Staff is recommending approval of the request due to recent burglary and <br />vandalism incidents.
