with information that following three (3) instances of contaminated materials; <br />Contractor may assess contamination fees; and, (v) shall include photographic <br />evidence. Contractor shall leave the courtesy pick-up notice attached to or <br />adhered to the Customers' contaminated Containers; at the Premises' door or <br />gate; or, subject to City's approval, may deliver the notice by mail, e-mail, or text <br />message. <br />Contractor shall Collect the contaminated Source Separated Recyclable Materials, <br />and Source Separated Organic Waste, and Transport the material to the <br />appropriate Approved Facility for Processing; or, Contractor may Collect the <br />contamfnated materials with Refuse Container Waste/Mixed Waste and <br />Transport the contaminated materials to the appropriate Designated/Approved <br />Facility for Disposal/Processing. <br />D. Notice of Assessment of Contamination Fees. If the Contractor observes <br />Prohibited Container Contaminants in a Customer's Source Separated Organic <br />Waste Container or Source Separated Recyclables Container on more than three <br />(3) occasions and issued courtesy pick-up notices on each of those occasions, the <br />Contractor may impose a contamination fee. Contractor shall notify the City in <br />its monthly or quarterly report of Customers for which contamination fees were <br />assessed. Contractor shall leave a contamination fee notice attached to or <br />adhered to the Customers' contaminated Containers; at the Premises' door or <br />gate; or, subject to City's approval, may deliver the notice by mail, e-mail or text <br />message. The contamination fee notice shall describe the specific material(s) of <br />issue, explain how to correct future set outs, and indicate that the Customer will <br />be charged a contamination fee on its next bill. The format of the contamination <br />fee notice shall be approved by the City Contract Manager. <br />Contractor shall Collect the contaminated Source Separated Recyclable Materials. <br />Source Separated Organic Waste, and Transport the material to the appropriate <br />Approved Facility for Processing. <br />E. Communications with Customer. Whenever a Container is not Collected because <br />of Prohibited Container Contaminants, a Customer service representative shall <br />contact the Customer to discuss and encourage the Customer to adopt proper <br />August 17, 2021 104 City of Santa Ana <br />
