PUBLIC COMMENT — Members of the public may address the City Council only on items listed on the Special Meeting Agenda. MINUTES: Carl Benninger spoke in support of maps F and K. Jeffry Katz spoke on the process of selecting a map. Clerk of the Council, Daisy Gomez, reported out on correspondence received. Biff Baker member of Orange County Congregation Community Organization (OCCCO) spoke in support of maps SARC1 and SARC2. Araceli Robles spoke in support of the coalition map. Fatima Paque member of OCCCO spoke in support of maps SARC1 and SARC2. Ana Charco, on behalf of Latino Health Access and with Santa Ana Redistricting, spoke in support of map SARC1A. Asked council to vote on SARC1A. Dale Helvig spoke in opposition of SARC1 and SARC2. Spoke in support of map 115467. Daisy Cruz with the Kennedy Commission urged council to adopt one the maps submitted by the Santa Ana Redistricting Coalition. Karen Alvardo with Orange County Congregation Community Organization (OCCCO) thanked council for holding the meetings. Urged council to support updated maps SARC1A or SARC2A. Spoke in opposition of maps F and K. Patricia De Santos spoke on safety and in support of map F. Angel Sanchez spoke in support of maps submitted by Santa Ana Redistricting Coalition (SARC). Hilda Ortiz with Latino Health Access, spoke in support of maps submitted by Santa Ana Redistricting Coalition and spoke in opposition of map F and K. Kayla Asato with Orange County Environmental Justice and partner of Santa Ana Redistricting Coalition spoke on the outreach performed that resulted in the SARC maps.
