Public Works Agency <br />www.santa-ana.org/pw <br />Item # 14 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Staff Report <br />April 19, 2022 <br />TOPIC: Purchase of Two Ford Ranger Trucks <br />AGENDA TITLE <br />Award a Purchase Order in the Amount of $76,140 to National Auto Fleet Group for Two <br />Ford Ranger XL SuperCrew Trucks for the Parks and Facilities Division of the Parks, <br />Recreation, and Community Services Agency (Specification No. 22-029) (General Fund) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize a one-time purchase and payment of purchase order to National Auto Fleet <br />Group for the purchase of two Ford Ranger XL SuperCrew Trucks in the amount of <br />$71,140, plus a contingency of $5,000, for a total amount not to exceed $76,140, subject <br />to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) is responsible for the <br />maintenance and care of parks and amenities. PRCSA was approved to hire additional <br />Park Services Inspectors to oversee the maintenance of parks, inspect service provided <br />by contractors, and manage maintenance issues that arise. To accommodate the need <br />for these new inspectors to travel throughout the city to inspect the various parks, PRCSA <br />is requesting approval for the purchase of two Ford Ranger trucks. <br />Santa Ana Ordinance No. NS-2312 authorizes the City to use purchase contracts from <br />any public agency utilizing a competitive bid process. Sourcewell (formerly National Joint <br />Powers Alliance), awarded a contract to National Auto Fleet Group (Contract No. 091521- <br />NAF) for procurement of Cars, Trucks, Vans, SUVs, Cab Chassis, and Other Vehicles as <br />a result of open competitive bidding on behalf of its members, which include government <br />agencies. Utilizing the contract awarded to National Auto Fleet Group allows the City to <br />make purchases through November 8, 2025, and is in accordance with the City's existing <br />Purchasing Guidelines. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with the action. <br />City Council 14 — 1 4/19/2022 <br />
