<br />joint -use opportunities for indoor and
<br />outdoor facilities, co -development
<br />opportunities for new parks and
<br />facilities, coordinated sport field
<br />scheduling, and opportunities to
<br />support joint program initiatives by
<br />sharing information and facilitating
<br />regular coordination meetings.

<br />SAUSD to explore options to ensure
<br />public access to sports fields and
<br />outdoor facilities especially in park
<br />deficient and unserved areas.

<br />7.3 Coordinate with others to identify
<br />potential solutions for improving
<br />recreation opportunities and greenspace
<br />in park deficient areas and for
<br />underserved demographic groups.

<br />together City interagency staff,
<br />community leaders, and private
<br />enterprise to identify and evaluate
<br />acquisition opportunities, creating a
<br />status report and metrics to measure

<br />b. Convene an interagency forum to
<br />coordinate and evaluate the feasibility
<br />for converting City -owned properties
<br />to parkland, with special focus in park
<br />deficient and environmental justice

<br />feasibility of acquiring the use of rights -
<br />of -way for restricted use as parks or

<br />options to provide recreational
<br />opportunities in park deficient
<br />areas, including land purchases,
<br />land dedication, easements, land or
<br />facility leases, and/or temporary use

<br />e. Partner with community organizations
<br />to offer programs that are accessible to
<br />residents who live in areas underserved
<br />by open space and recreational facilities.
<br />f. Continue building partnerships with
<br />community -based organizations that
<br />administer social services to the elderly,
<br />youth, and other special needs groups;
<br />create use agreements for these
<br />providers to use public park facilities to
<br />meet the recreational and educational
<br />needs of these groups. (GP)
<br />7.4 Continue coordinating with existing and
<br />new partners in the provision of recreation
<br />opportunities.
<br />a. Renew long-term lease agreements
<br />with the Orange County Flood Control
<br />District for the provision of bikeway and
<br />pedestrian trails.
<br />b. Continue the long-term lease agreement
<br />with the Delhi Center to provide
<br />programs in health, education, financial
<br />stability, and community engagement.
<br />c. Continue agreements with the
<br />Orange County Water Division and
<br />Centennial Education Center/SAUSD
<br />for the provision of land and facilities at
<br />Centennial Park.
<br />d. Strengthen relationships with
<br />surrounding cities to discuss potential
<br />options for coordinated trail, park and
