C MNS <br />grant is secured to match the first grant <br />pursued if won. <br />Another important strategy for submitting <br />grant applications is the regionalism <br />approach. The City is bound together with <br />other entities through hydrology, shared <br />(adjudicated) groundwater resources, <br />and institutions such as SAWPA. Regional, <br />multiagency grant proposals are often favored <br />by various granting agencies and can also <br />involve a multiple -fund -source strategy. <br />MNS understands the City has numerous <br />infrastructure projects for the next six fiscal <br />years as identified in the Capital Improvement <br />Program, some of which may have potential <br />for grant funding. <br />MNS is prepared to work closely with <br />City representatives staff by attending <br />recommended meetings and maintaining <br />ongoing communication regarding new and <br />existing grant programs. Communications of <br />grant opportunities to City staff can be in the <br />following forms: <br />• Regular standing meetings with an <br />informational document <br />• Email communication with informational <br />summary document <br />• Informal email with summary information <br />Grant informational summary documents <br />will include all of the critical details about the <br />grant opportunity including: <br />• Grant program name and granting agency <br />• Grant application due date <br />• Applicant eligibility requirements <br />• Project eligibility requirements <br />• Grant maximum and minimum request and <br />award <br />• Applicant matching fund requirements <br />• Scoring criteria <br />• Required or desired state of project <br />readiness <br />• Partnership requirements or desirability <br />• Public engagement requirements <br />At any time, communication of a grant <br />opportunity needs to be more formalized as <br />with a presentation to executive staff of the <br />City, the City Manager, or City Council. MNS is <br />prepared to produce an and easy -to -follow <br />slide presentation in collaboration with City <br />staff and act as presenter. <br />Research and Monitor Grant Funding <br />Opportunities <br />MNS will reach out to the City's key staff to <br />identify current and projected funding priority <br />areas. MNS can subsequently facilitate <br />presentations to City staff related to new and <br />forthcoming grant opportunities. Based on <br />information gathered from meetings with City <br />staff and department leadership, MNS will <br />work closely with the City staff and key project <br />stakeholders to collect and utilize the most <br />up to date and readily available information <br />for grant research. MNS will provide periodic <br />updates of upcoming federal, state, and local <br />grant opportunities for subject areas that <br />include, but are not limited to: <br />• Water Supply Enhancement <br />• Water Use Efficiency and Demand <br />Management <br />• Water Loss Elimination <br />• Water Quality Enhancement <br />• Energy Efficiency Enhancement <br />• Sewer System Enhancement <br />Emergency Response and Hazard Mitigation <br />• Environmental Enhancement <br />• Regulatory Compliance <br />• Infrastructure Expansion and Life Extension <br />Key funding source agencies to monitor <br />include, but are not limited to: <br />• Bureau of Reclamation <br />• EPA <br />• FEMA <br />SECTION 5.
