Vehicles. <br />(v) Probationary Period- New security guards assigned to the City contract will be placed <br />on a six-month probationary period during which time their skills will be assessed <br />periodically by both Contractor and City staff. To ensure satisfactory completion of the <br />probationary period, City staff, at his/her discretion, may require a written exam and/or <br />oral review. <br />Account Manager <br />The Contractor shall provide an account manager solely assigned to this contract. The account <br />manager shall make unannounced inspection of guards on post at random times, sufficient to <br />ensure job performance and adherence to personnel standards, but in any case, not less than <br />one (1) time per site per week. Unannounced visits shall rotate between the different shifts and <br />will include all posts equally. The guard on duty is to complete an incident report for each account <br />manager visit. <br />The account manager will also meet with the Contract Administrator, or designee, as needed. <br />The account manager will be responsible for notifying Contract Administrator of all issues raised <br />at these meetings and of steps taken to rectify these issues. Notification to the account manager <br />of performance deficiencies serves as sufficient notice to the Contractor of contract non- <br />compliance to initiate corrective action. For major performance deficiencies, City will also provide <br />written notice to Contractor. Any contract deficiencies identified in writing by the Contract <br />Administrator or designee will require a written follow-up from the Contractor identifying the steps <br />taken to rectify the deficiency. Account Manager should be prepare to: <br />(a) May be requested to attend City meetings, neighborhood meetings, etc. <br />(b) Provide monthly statistical reports <br />Security Supervisor (Minimum Requirements) <br />a) Has at least 12 months prior work experience as a security guard supervisor <br />b) Has training and supervisory experience commensurate with the requirementsas specified <br />herein. <br />c) Ensure that all posts have an approved security guard at all times and for theduration required. <br />d) Ensure that the Contractor provides an approved security guard for any late,absent or <br />dismissed security guards. <br />e) Act as the liaison between City and Contractor regarding all issues pertaining tosecurity guard <br />and performance. <br />f) Supervisor must be available whenever guard shifts are being performed, including holidays, by <br />telephone to respond to any issues that may arise as <br />24-Hour Communications Capability <br />Contractor shall maintain a 24-hour communication center. Contractor shall be responsible for <br />the proper operation and security of its pages, radios, cellular phones and chargers. <br />Communication <br />All security guards assigned to work under this Contract must be accessible by City staff via <br />mobile phones at all times during their work shifts. Moreover, the security guard shall report all <br />emergencies to the Santa Ana Police Department immediately upon their occurrence.
