COLOR GUIDES WILL ALSO BE <br />USEFUL TO SHOW HOW A TOY TRULY BEGINS (IN 2D) <br />DIFFERENT MATERIALS THAT ARE USED WOULD ALSO BE HELPFUL <br />TITLE- 3D ART AND TOY DESIGN <br />WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TOYS AND WHY? <br />WHAT IS 3D ART TO YOU? <br />REAL VS DIGITAL (PHYSICAL PRODUCTS VS 3D) (VIDEO GAME ART) <br />DO YOU SEE YOURSELF WORKING IN THE WORLD OF 3D? <br />STUDENTS WILL EXPLORE THE WORLD BEHIND TOYS/VIDEO GAME ASSETS <br />AND MORE! <br />HOW TOYS ARE MADE (FROM 2D SKETCH TO 3D MODEL). <br />GIVE BASIC AND ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE OF THE PRINTING PROCESS AND <br />HOW THEY ARE USED TO CREATE TOYS AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING. <br />AS WELL (ADVANCED CLASS WILL LEARN THE MANY OPPURTUNITIES <br />GO OVER PRINTING MATERIALS- FROM CLAY TO PLASTICS <br />FOR ARTIST AFTER GRADUATING AND WHERE THEY CAN GO <br />FROM GAINING THESE SKILLS. <br />STUDENTS WILL GAIN BASIC UNDERSTANDING OF TOYS AND HOW THEY ARE MADE <br />2 TO 3 READY TO BE PRINTED TOY KITS TO BE SUBJECT TO PRINT <br />WHILE UTALIZING 3D PRINTERS. PROCESS WILL FEATURE PROPER PRINTER SAFETY <br />WITH STUDENTS. OTHER PROJECTS TBD BY STUDENTS FOR CLASS <br />AND HOW TO REMOVE PARTS FROM MACHINE. <br />INPUT. <br />SUPPORTS REMOVAL WILL ALSO BE COVERED BEFORE FINAL ASSEMBLY OF TOYS. <br />1. 3D PRINTED FASHION (INCLUDE SHOE DESIGNS) <br />(PAINTING THE TOYS CUSTOM COLORS WOULD ALSO BE GREAT IF TIME ALLOWS) <br />2. OPEN TO CLASS INPUT <br />(CUSTOM TOYS WOULD ALSO BE FUN TO INTRODUCE TO CLASS) <br />(THIS CLASS COULD ALSO BE READY FOR BASIC 3D SCANNING <br />KNOWLEDGE AS THAT RELATES TO 3D PRODUCT DESIGN) <br />HOW ARE TOYS MADE? <br />WHAT CARREER PATHS ARE AVAILABLE TO 3D ARTIST <br />/NOT JUST TOY DESIGN/ WHAT IS OUT THERE.. ? <br />HOW CAN I MAKE MY OWN TOYS OR 3D ART? <br />HOW DOES A 3D PRINTER HELP A 3D ARTIST? <br />WHAT PROGRAMS ARE USED? <br />SHAPES- GEOMETRIC & ORGANIC <br />TOY-ETIC- WHAT MAKES IT A TOY? <br />MOLD MAKING TERMS <br />TOY MATERIALS- FROM CLAY TO PLASTICS <br />SOFT GOODS- PLUSH DOLL MATERIAL TERMS <br />PRINTING MATERIALS <br />DEMOS FOR EACH PROJECT WILL BE COVERED AND STUDENTS WILL EXECUTE STEPS <br />WITH SUPERVISION. <br />SET UP PROCESS INCLUDES: <br />SLICING PROGRAM TUTORIAL, BED LEVELING, FILAMENT LOADING, INITIAL TEST <br />AND TROUBLESHOOTING. PROPER SUPPORT REMOVAL AND SAFETY DEMOS WILL <br />ALSO BE GIVEN.
