01/19/2023 <br />Historic Resource Commission 6 <br />City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Environmental Impact: Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, the project is exempt from further review <br />under Section 15331, Class 31, as this action is designed to preserve a historic <br />resource. Categorical Exemption No. ER-2022-125 will be filed for this project. <br />Recommended Action: <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resource Commission <br />Application No. 2022-27 and Historic Register Categorization No. <br />2022-17 (Exhibit 1).; and <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and <br />Clerk of the Council to execute the attached Mills Act agreement with <br />Matthew L. and Robert D. Hale, subject to non-substantive changes <br />approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (Exhibit 2). <br />Staff provided a brief presentation. <br />Chair Rush, Commissioner Christy, and Vice Chair Murashie ensued in <br />discussion regarding the history of this property and ultimately coincided <br />that the property should be raised from contributive to key level. The <br />commissioner asked questions of the applicant.
