TASK 5 - BID PHASE SERVICES 5.1 Bid Phase Services Mark Thomas will support the city through the bidding process, providing the following: >> Attendance at pre -bid meeting >> Respond to inquiries >> Assist in the preparation of contract addendums >> Review of submitted bid documents and provide recommendations on for award of construction contract TASK 5 DELIVERABLES: >> Responses to inquiries >> Contract addendums >> Recommendations for award TASK 6 - CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES 6.1 Meetings Mark Thomas will attend the pre -construction meeting as well as other construction meetings and field reviews as necessary. 6.2 Requests for Information (RFIs) Provide clarification of contract documents and responses to contractor RFIs to the City's construction manager. Plans or details will be revised as necessary. 6.3 Shop Drawing/Submittal Review Mark Thomas will review submittals and shop drawings as requested by the construction manager. The review of shop drawings shall include staging and traffic control, contractor's submittals for substitutions, construction contractor's alternative construction approval, and others as requested by the construction manager. 6.4 Change Order Assistance Consultant will review proposed change orders and make recommendations as requested by the Construction Manager. This effort may include independent cost estimating and schedule impacts. 6.5 As -Built Preparation Mark Thomas will incorporate as -built revisions clouded and noted in the revision block using contractor's record red lines. It is assumed that the Contractor supplied red line drawings are a standalone document, clearly showing all field changes, with no references to RFIs or submittals.
