Proposal to provide <br />Landscape Architectural Design Services for 10th and Flower Park— RFP No. 22-124 <br />J. Landscape and Irrigation Plans <br />J.1 — Site / Construction Plan <br />DEA landscape architects will provide a site plan for the proposed items of construction. This plan will <br />designate features of the proposed project including placement, detail references, material and manufacturer <br />callouts, general construction notes, and specific elements of the overall design which are necessary for the <br />proper construction of proposed items. At this time, we anticipate that the park will include some or all of the <br />amenities noted under'Public Input'. Please note that we have not included structural calculations for items <br />such as the shade shelter. <br />Deliverables: 1" = 20'scale site plan. <br />J.2 - Planting Plans <br />Plans will include a plant legend indicating trees, shrubs, <br />and ground covers in addition to information regarding the <br />placement of materials such as decomposed granite, mulch and <br />boulders. The legend will indicate the botanical and common <br />names, quantity, size, and remarks (such as variety and staking <br />procedure). The plans will provide an appropriate palette utilizing <br />sustainable landscape materials including California -friendly, <br />drought tolerant plants. <br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' planting plan and details as noted above. <br />J.3 - Irrigation Plans <br />The irrigation plans will provide the necessary information for a complete and fully automatic irrigation system <br />for the approximate 1.27 acre park. The plans will indicate the point of connection based upon agency <br />requirements, backflow prevention and pressure regulation (as necessary), and equipment size and type in <br />the irrigation legend. "Smart" Water Application Technologies (SWAT) will be utilized. Flow monitors, moisture <br />sensors, and ET based controllers will be implemented. We also anticipate providing the following information: <br />■ Prepare water usage calculations (MAWA and ETWU). <br />■ Provide water efficient landscape worksheet and hydrozone table for each remote control valve. <br />■ Obtain horticultural soils report (agronomic data) based on soil samples obtained from site. <br />■ Provide irrigation run time schedule based on soil type. <br />■ Rain and wind sensors will be added in addition to WUCOLS water use classifications. <br />Deliverables: 1" = 20' irrigation plans and details as noted above. (Recycled wateris not anticipated). <br />JA - Skate Park Plans (OPTIONAL) <br />J.4a - Project kick-off meeting <br />Spohn Ranch and the City will kick-off the project via an in -person or virtual meeting. We will review the project <br />goals, project schedule, and points of coordination. <br />Deliverables: Meeting Minutes (PDF). <br />JAb - Information Gathering & Review <br />During the project kick-off meeting, Spohn Ranch and the City will take stock of existing site data, studies and <br />any other information pertinent to the project and project site. We will review existing information and work with <br />the City to collect additional information as necessary. The site information typically required to begin design <br />work is as follows: <br />■ Site survey (AutoCAD). <br />■ As -built drawings. <br />■ Geotechnical report. <br />■ Any master plan design work or future improvements planned for the site. <br />■ Any local, state or federal design requirements. <br />12 1 February 28, 2023 1 David Evans and Associates, Inc. <br />
