rrn <br />Cancellation Policy and STUDENTS RIGHT TO CANCEL: <br />Procedures Under California BureauforPostsecondary PrivateEducation Low, (CEC§94911(e)(1)(2)(3)) <br />Policy <br />Students have the right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund of charges <br />paid through attendance at the first-class session or the seventh calendar day after <br />enrollment, whichever is later. After the end of the cancellation period, students also have <br />the right to withdrawal from school at any time, and receive a pro rata refund if they have <br />completed 60% or less of the period of attendance (as described in the "Withdrawal from <br />the Program" section below). <br />Cancellation may occur when students provide a written notice of cancellation by mail or by <br />hand delivery at the students' place of training. The written notice of cancellation, if sent by <br />mail, is effective when deposited in the mall properly addressed with proper postage. The <br />written notice of cancellation need not be on any particular form and, however expressed, <br />it is effective if it shows that the student no longer wishes to be bound by the Enrollment <br />Agreement. Students will be given two Notice of Cancellation forms on the first day of class. <br />If the Enrollment Agreement is cancelled Learnet will refund the students any money they <br />paid, less a registration fee of $150.00. If students are issued books or equipment and cancel <br />their agreement, the student is required to return the books and/or equipment. Refer to <br />Refund Policy and Procedures in the following pages. <br />Learnet will issue all refunds within 45 days of the date of cancellation / withdrawal. <br />For distance educational program where the instruction is not offered in real time, the <br />enrollment agreement shall disclose that the student shall have the right to cancel the <br />enrollment agreement and receive a full refund before the first lesson and materials are <br />received. Cancellation is effective on the date written notice of cancellation is sent. The <br />institution shall make the refund pursuant to section 71750 of the Regulations. If the <br />institution sent the first lesson and materials before an effective cancellation notice was <br />received, the institution shall make a refund within 45 days after the student's return of the <br />materials. (5,CCR §71716(b)) <br />For distance educational program where the Instruction Is not offered in real time, the <br />enrollment agreement shall disclose that (1) An institution shall transmit all lessons and <br />materials to the student if the student has fully paid for the educational program and, after <br />having received the first lesson and initial materials, requests in writing that all of the <br />material be sent. (2) If an institution transmits the balance of the material as the student <br />requests, the institution shall remain obligated to provide the other educational services it <br />agreed to provide, but shall not be obligated to pay any refund after all of the lessons and <br />material are transmitted. (5,CCR §71716(c)(1)(2)) <br />Procedures <br />1. The student has the right to cancel through attendance at the first-class session or <br />the seventh day after enrollment, whichever is later. <br />2. Print out the Cancellation Form from the web site, www.learnet.edu . <br />3. Cancellation Policy and Procedures' shall be informed during the orientation day. <br />This procedure is handled by Admissions. <br />4. Upon cancellation, there is no charge to the student and any monies paid by the <br />student will be refunded, <br />5.
