A benefit to <br />Mr. Cassar's design ability is his attention to detail and his <br />knowledge of playground design, the latest construction <br />practices and materials, ADA accessibility concerns, and his <br />experience in the installation of hardscape, softscape, and <br />irrigation systems. He brings field investigation, research, <br />and communication experience to each of our projects. <br />Mr. Cassar has been a key figure at DVD in coordinating <br />design development plans and carrying them through <br />construction drawings. He is known for his ability to <br />collaborate with a variety of clients, architects, engineers <br />and designers and to successfully manage projects from <br />beginning to end. <br />He ensures adherence to established project schedules and <br />cost agreements, and monitors production for delivery of the <br />highest quality products to clients. He cooperates well with <br />staff, clients, and agencies to create successful products <br />and works closely with contractors during construction. <br />He is typically responsible for plan checking to ensure the <br />successful completion and delivery of projects. <br />EDUCATION <br />BS, Landscape Architecture, 2005 <br />California State Polytechnic University, Pomona <br />SKILLS <br />Adobe InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch up <br />AutoCAD, Microsoft Office <br />YEARS WITH DVD: 2005 - present <br />AVAILABILITY: 40% <br />ROLE: Responsible for analyzing data <br />from our community input charrette process <br />to help form a common goal of what the <br />community desires, prepares landscape <br />architectural plans, specifications, and cost <br />estimates on a multitude of projects, plan <br />checking to ensure consistent update of plan <br />details from client requests. <br />RECENT PROJECT EXPERIENCE <br />CANYON HIGH SCHOOL, VILLA PARK <br />HIGH SCHOOL & ORANGE HIGH <br />SCHOOL <br />Client: Orange Unified School District <br />DVD provided construction documents <br />for bidding and for the adjacent site <br />improvements of the new turf sports fields <br />and all weather running tracks. <br />JACK HAMMET PARK <br />Client: City of Costa Mesa <br />Improvements including new walkways, <br />parking lot expansion, water facilities and <br />control structures relocation, and a new <br />pedestrian connection will be designed. <br />FREMONT PARK <br />Client: City of Glendale <br />The park's ambiance and the many <br />gathering spaces within the park will be <br />enhanced by new synthetic turf soccer <br />fields, community center, play spaces, <br />picnic grounds, ball courts, and new <br />lighting. <br />CITRUS GLEN& HICKS CANYON PARK <br />IRRIGATION <br />Client: City of Irvine <br />The DVD team concluded that the utility <br />service line, water meter, and irrigation <br />mainline were undersized to provide the <br />capacity that was needed.
