SECTION 1 1 StatementofQualifications
UNDERSTANDING OF NEED
RRM's approach to successful project delivery is focused on
listening, communicating, and collaborating throughout the
life of the project. Our core project leadership team has
worked together on numerous public recreation projects
over many years and has developed an efficient management
system whereby the project manager and the principal -in -
charge (your primary point of contact) are both engaged
in your project. This built-in redundancy not only helps for
continuity over time, but also for diversity of perspective
and experience.
We understand, above all else, that on -call consulting
requires a unique type of firm — one that has a diverse
breadth of project and staff experience that can nimbly
change gears and adjust to a variety of different projects, big
and small; a firm that has the horsepower to take on virtually
any task without delaying project schedules; and a firm with
seasoned project managers that know how to make your
life easier as an extension of your staff, and provide you
with highly responsive, quality service. On -call contracts by
their nature often involve small, miscellaneous projects, and
RRM can usually provide what you need. If you need to make
ADA upgrades to a public restroom, our architects can help.
If you need to solve a chronic drainage problem In a park
playing field, our civil engineers are an extension away. For
this reason, executing an on -call contract with RRM Design
Group will maximize Santa Ana's flexibility to address the full
spectrum of issues that may arise.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
One of the greatest privileges of the work we do is having
the opportunity to work with individuals from communities
all across the State. A critical first step at project onset is
meeting with the community. We want to connect with the
neighbors, listen and learn; what are their needs? what are
their hopes? How would a renovated park make life better?
What stories about the park, or neighborhood, or culture
does your community want to share with us? We facilitate
this engagement through our town hall style of public
outreach which encourages individuals to voice their opinion
and we carry this approach from our first stakeholder
meeting on through each community workshop we host.
Connecting with the community is not only an important
first step, it's what Inspires our work and drives our passion.
Though ideally we would meet with the community in -
person, even in the midst of a deadly pandemic, we have
effective tools at our disposal to still get that all important
face time with the community by utilizing virtual meeting
platforms and online surveys.
ESTABLISHING GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Our team will start your project by listening to current staff
experiences, challenges, and opportunities. From there we
will work with staff to evaluate resources and priorities
to establish initial project goals and objectives. With this
project framework we can then work together to establish a
project definition, schedule, and budget. RRM is structured
to provide maximum flexibility to perform at the highest
level and meet project schedules. With a total firm size of
over 190 design professionals, we can scale up our team
whenever needed to provide extra horsepower. This is
particularly helpful in the construction documentation phase
of work when large amounts of technical and detailed effort
are required.
MAINTAIN CLEAR AND FREQUENT
COMMUNICATION
To give you the confidence that your projects are heading
In a direction you are comfortable with, we will keep you
updated and current at every step of the way throughout the
process. Weekly design steering committee meetings will
provide the perfect opportunity to keep everyone focused
and on the same page. You do not want any surprises at
the eleventh hour, and neither do we. By adhering to this
approach, issues inherent to any project —whether schedule,
budget, or design -related —are worked through systematically
and thoughtfully.
iUrrm
