City of Santa Ana RFP No. 19-090 <br />Professional Land Surveying Services <br />Relevant Project Experience <br />Since Towill's inception in 1955, we have served as a <br />consultant on hundreds of contracts for public agency <br />clients, from the federal and state level down to local <br />agencies and special districts, with the majority of <br />our work generated from on -call contract task orders. <br />In fact, approximately 70% of Towill's total revenue <br />earned last year came from municipal clients and their <br />project$,. Following is a small sample of the projects <br />we have completed over the last five years. <br />Caltrans District 59: As -needed <br />Aerial Mapping Services Contract <br />Towill is currently under our fifth consecutive contract <br />with Caltrans to provide as -needed professional aerial <br />photogrammetric mapping services statewide. Most <br />tasks under this contract are focused on the acquisk <br />tion, processing, and classification of airborne LiDAR <br />(Light Detection and Ranging) data and the genera- <br />tion of color orthophotography; an increasing number <br />of projects over the last two contract periods have <br />also included the capture of planimetric features. <br />Specific services provided under these contracts <br />include airborne LiDAR data acquisition and process- <br />ing, photogrammetric mapping, aerotriangulation, <br />ground control surveys, and quality control surveys. <br />We completed a total of 56 task orders during our <br />previous on -call contract (2015-2018), including: <br />State Route 74 in Orange County: Airborne LiDAR <br />mapping and orthophotography for approximately <br />five miles from west of Hot Spring Canyon Road <br />to the Riverside County border in southeast <br />Orange County. Year Completed: 2018; <br />Interstate 15 in Riverside County: Airborne <br />LiDAR data collection for pavement condition <br />studies along a three-mile stretch of highway near <br />Temecula. Year Completed: 2017; and <br />Interstate 40 in San Bernardino County: Airborne <br />LiDAR, Mapping, and Orthophotography for a <br />50-mile stretch between Ludlow and Needles. <br />Year Completed: 2016. <br />Client: Caltrans District 59 <br />Contact: John Erickson, CP, PLS <br />Phone: 916.227.7649 <br />T TOWILL <br />Orange County Transportation <br />Authority: OC Streetcar Project <br />Construction Management Services <br />Towill is providing on -call construction staking ser- <br />vices to PGH Wong for the OC Streetcar project. This <br />OCTA project is in coordination with the City of Santa <br />Ana and City of Garden Grove to construct a new <br />east -west double -track modern streetcar in Orunge <br />County between the Santa Ana Regional Transpor- <br />tation Center in the City of Santa Ana and the Harbor <br />Boulevard/WestminsterAvenue intersection in the <br />City of Garden Grove. The purpose of the project is to <br />improve transit connectivity and transit accessibility, <br />increase transit options, relieve congestion by pro- <br />viding alternative mobility options in a manner that is <br />sensitive to the community's character, and provide <br />benefits to the environment through improved air qual- <br />ity. The project involves widening <br />the roadway; reconstructing the concrete median, <br />sidewalks, curb and gutter, etc.; street light relocation; <br />traffic signal modification; extension of an existing <br />channel box culvert; installation of a landscape and <br />irrigation system; signing, striping, and pavement <br />markings; and relocation and adjustment of IRWD <br />water facilities. Towill's tasks include performing a <br />centerline survey and monumentation recovery; de- <br />tailed surveys of the streets, sidewalks, and neighbor- <br />ing properties; developing a digital terrain model and <br />street cross -sections; performing construction staking <br />and as -built surveys; and monument preservation. <br />Year Completed: Ongoing. <br />Submitted October 24, 2019 <br />10 <br />
