Access to technology Includes equipment that <br />allows for emails, phone calls, and the use of <br />online learning and interactive tools. The <br />institution's Learning Management System (LMS) <br />uses a web -based system that require a standard <br />web browser. <br />For ACCSC Campuses: <br />In addition, each student must successfully pass <br />a Digital Readiness Assessment (DRA), prior to <br />enrolling. The DRA is designed to help the <br />school and student understand if they are able to <br />successfully take courses in an online / hybrid <br />environment. Each program at the school is <br />offered in a hybrid learning environment and the <br />student will be required to access and understand <br />the school's Learning Management System <br />(LMS). <br />Online Student Identity Authentication and <br />Privacy <br />The Electronic Student Database (ESD) for <br />hybrid and online students is a restricted access <br />and password protected electronic environment. <br />Prior to entering the EDS, an online student's <br />identity must be verified by way of an assigned <br />unique login and password that is provided to <br />each student upon enrollment and class <br />registration. Verification of student Information is <br />provided at no extra cost to the student. Student <br />identity will be maintained in a private format by <br />UEI in accord with established institutional <br />privacy and confidentiality policies with access <br />provided only to agents of UEI who require <br />immediate and necessary use of the information <br />in order to fulfill the various academic activities of <br />UEI. It is the student's responsibility to strictly <br />preserve the privacy of their login and password <br />information. Students are prohibited from sharing <br />login and password information. Any such <br />intentional compromise of the integrity of the <br />privacy of a student's login and/or password (i.e., <br />sharing of this information) will result in the <br />student being subject to immediate termination <br />from the school. In the event a student believes <br />the privacy associated with their login and <br />password information has been comprised, they <br />are required to contact school officials for an <br />immediate reset of their information. This is also <br />done at no extra cost to the student. <br />Programs Preparing Graduates for a <br />Field Requiring Licensure or <br />Registration <br />UEI College takes reasonable steps to help <br />ensure you are eligible for licensure or <br />registration if you choose a program that <br />prepares you for a field where licensure or <br />registration is required. There are numerous <br />eligibility requirements for licensure, depending <br />on the field. You are encouraged to review these <br />requirements and do further research if you have <br />any concerns regarding your eligibility. You <br />should discuss any concerns with your <br />Admissions Representative and/or the Director of <br />Education. Licensure requirements for other <br />states may vary. Students are responsible for <br />obtaining the most recent application <br />requirements for any state in which they intend to <br />become employed. Although the school assists <br />students/graduates with obtaining licensure, the <br />ultimate responsibility for securing licensure is <br />that of the student/graduate. <br />For licensure, certification, or registration <br />requirements for each program, please see the <br />supplement Insert-C in this catalog. <br />Vaccination Policy <br />For Allied Health programs offered by UEI <br />Colleges which require vaccinations as part of <br />their externship requirements and potential <br />employment post -graduation, the Admissions <br />Department is responsible for explaining and <br />having the student sign the applicable vaccination <br />disclosure. <br />Ability to Benefit (ATB) Admissions <br />Policies <br />Effective April 13, 2023, UEI is not admitting <br />ATB students into the ECPP program. All <br />new enrolling students must be a High <br />School graduate or GED holder. <br />Ability to Benefit (ATB) admission is available <br />on a limited basis for students with a valid ATB <br />test prior to 4/13/23 and is available for the <br />following programs only: Dental Assistant, <br />Automotive, Business Office Administration, <br />Electrician Technician, Medical Assistant, <br />Medical Billing and Insurance Coding, Heating, <br />Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Medical Office <br />Specialist and Welding. <br />Ability to Benefit (ATB) admission is not available <br />for the Criminal Justice and Pharmacy Technician <br />programs. <br />Ability to Benefit (ATB) admission Is not available <br />for the Business Office Administration, Medical <br />Billing and Insurance Coding, and Health <br />Services Administration AAS degree — 100% <br />Online programs. <br />Students who are admitted to the College as ATB <br />students will be required to attend academic <br />
