Infection Control <br />Program Information <br />Infection Control <br />Course Description: <br />The following short course is not vocational in nature and does not lead to initial employment and does <br />not provide credit toward any vocational program offered at the school. This is a certification course and <br />upon completion, the student will receive a Certificate of Completion. This course is not vocational in <br />nature and does not lead to initial employment. <br />Program Objective: <br />In this course students will learn infection control protocols in a laboratory and clinical setting following the <br />Cal/OSHA, Cal/DOSH and the Dental Board of California minimum standards of infection control. The <br />student will demonstrate each laboratory and clinical competency three times with the last laboratory and <br />clinical experience utilized for the clinical examination. <br />Prerequisite: <br />None <br />Course Length: <br />1 Day <br />8 Clock Hours (Lecture 4 hours, Lab 2 Hours, Clinical 2 hours) <br />58 <br />
