Uniforms will vary by program.
<br />Uniforms or scrubs must be clean, wrinkle -free
<br />and well -fitted. Pants and dresses must be proper
<br />length.
<br />No outerwear is permitted in the classroom except
<br />for a lab coat or sweater as established by school/
<br />program standards,
<br />Shoes must be leather or vinyl and OSHA
<br />compliant, closed -toed, closed heel. Students
<br />must keep their shoes clean and polished.
<br />Underclothing Is to be worn white in uniform.
<br />Undergarments must not be visible.
<br />The ID badge is part of the uniform and must be
<br />visible at all times,
<br />College -approved tab coats may be worn over the
<br />regulation uniform, T-shirts or turtlenecks may be
<br />worn under scrubs, but they must be tucked in, T-
<br />shirts or turtlenecks must be removed in the lab if
<br />they become a safety hazard.
<br />Jewelry may not be worn with the uniform, except
<br />for one pair of small stud earrings, one ring (e.g.,
<br />wedding and/or engagement ring, class ring) and
<br />a watch, Dangling earrings, hoop earrings, or
<br />multiple earrings will not be permitted. A single
<br />necklace that does not dangle may also be worn.
<br />For safety reasons, no jewelry may be worn under
<br />protective gloves. Jewelry used In body/tongue
<br />piercing other than the earlobe is not acceptable.
<br />Medical identification worn as a bracelet or
<br />necklace is acceptable.
<br />Hair must be of a natural hue, neatly combed,
<br />clean, and pulled away from the face, so that it
<br />does not hang in the face when bending over
<br />during lab/clinical activities. No head covers,
<br />including beads or Jewels interwoven into the hair
<br />are to be worn. All religious head coverings must
<br />be approved by the Academic Dean.
<br />Fingernails must be kept short, clean, and neatly
<br />manicured. No polish, acrylic nails, overlays, or any
<br />synthetic enhancements to the natural nails.
<br />Proper daily hygiene, including the use of
<br />antiperspirant and mouthwash, is essential
<br />because students work very closely with others.
<br />Cologne and perfume should not be worn,
<br />Many healthcare facilities mandate coverage of
<br />tattoos, and students may be asked to leave a
<br />clinical or externship site if tattoos are visible. In
<br />order to ensure we are preparing you for the work
<br />environment of your chosen field. Concorde
<br />requires that students make a reasonable attempt
<br />to cover all tattoos.
<br />Eyelash extensions are prohibited.
<br />Failure to comply with the above expectations may
<br />result In dismissal from the classroom, externship,
<br />and/or clinical site.
<br />Licensure Payment Policy
<br />Concorde is committed to preparing students with the
<br />skills and knowledge necessary to become entry-level
<br />practitioners in their field of study. Some of the
<br />programs offered by Concorde have employment
<br />outcomes where passage of a professional certification,
<br />Licensure or registry examination may be required for
<br />employment or that will enhance potential employment
<br />opportunities. Concorde will pay exam fees for
<br />graduates of these programs based on the eligibility
<br />requirements below. Please discuss with your Program
<br />Director which exams are relevant to employment in
<br />your field of study and the requirements for
<br />successfully demonstrating examination preparedness.
<br />Eligibility is determined by the graduate's completion of
<br />the following;
<br />Receive approval from the Program Director,
<br />Academic Dean or Campus President before
<br />testing.
<br />Take the exam within two months of graduation, or
<br />take the first available exam opportunity for those
<br />exams offered only on a periodic schedule.
<br />Meet all Concorde graduation requirements.
<br />Demonstrate that the student is prepared to sit for
<br />Licensure by completing a "green Light" process at
<br />the campus,
<br />If a second attempt is necessary due to first-time
<br />failure, all of the following must be met:
<br />Evidence of a valid benefit to the student and
<br />college, such as meeting or exceeding
<br />programmatic Licensure pass rate standards and/
<br />or graduate employment rate standards;
<br />Campus President approval;
<br />Proof that the graduate sat for, and completed, the
<br />first-time exam(s);
<br />Submission of exam scores from the student's first
<br />exam attempt;
<br />Successful completion by the graduate of a
<br />remediation program approved by both the
<br />campus -level Program Director and Concorde's
<br />Vice President of Academic Affairs or designee.
<br />Registration and certification requirements for taking
<br />and passing these examinations are not controlled by
<br />Concorde, but by outside agencies, and are subject to
<br />change by the agency without notice, Therefore.
<br />Concorde cannot guarantee that graduates will be
<br />eligible to take these exams, at atl or at any specific
<br />time, regardless of their eligibility status upon
<br />enrollment,
