policy. Each workday shall consist of twelve (12) hours of work and <br />a thirty (30) minute paid meal period. During each twenty-eight (28) <br />day FLSA Work Period, employees shall work one hundred sixty- <br />two and one half (162.5) hours. Upon completion of this work <br />schedule, employees will earn an additional two (2) hours and thirty <br />(30) minutes of vacation time, provided they do not take leave <br />without pay during that Work Period. Employees assigned to this <br />schedule are compensated for their meal periods. Consequently, if <br />an employee is unable to take their meal period, or is interrupted <br />during their meal period, they shall not receive further <br />compensation. <br />b. 207(k) 7/12.5 Work Schedule - Detention. Employees shall work <br />three (3) twelve (12) hour and thirty (30) minute workdays in one <br />(1) seven (7) day period and four (4) twelve (12) hour and thirty (30) <br />minute workdays in the next seven (7) day period, or alternatively, <br />four (4) twelve (12) hour and thirty (30) minute workdays in the first <br />seven (7) day period and three (3) twelve (12) hour and thirty (30) <br />minute workdays in the following seven (7) day period. This cycle <br />shall be repeated twice each twenty-eight (28) day FLSA Work <br />Period. Each workday shall consist of eleven (11) hours and thirty <br />(30) minutes of work and a one (1) hour meal period, thirty (30) <br />minutes of which shall be paid and thirty (30) minutes of which shall <br />be unpaid, for a total of twelve (12) hours and thirty (30) minutes. <br />During each twenty-eight (28) day FLSA Work Period, employees <br />assigned to the 207(k) 7/12.5 Work Schedule shall earn one (1) hour <br />of vacation time if they do not take leave without pay during that <br />Work Period. Correctional Officers will be compensated at the time <br />and a half overtime rate for all time worked in excess of their regular <br />work shift of twelve and one half (12.5) hours per workday. The <br />overtime compensation will apply only to actual time worked <br />beyond the regular shift. <br />C. 207(k) 4/10.5 Work Schedule -Detention Administration. <br />Employees shall work seven (7) ten (10) hour and thirty (30) minute <br />workdays and one (1) ten (10) hour workday during each two (2) <br />week period. This pattern will recur twice during the twenty-eight <br />(28) day FLSA Work Period. Each ten (W) hour and thirty (30) <br />minute workday shall consist of ten (10) hours and thirty (30) <br />minutes of work and either a thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour <br />unpaid meal period. The ten (10) hour workday shall consist of ten <br />(10) hours of work and either a thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour <br />unpaid meal period. The determination as to a thirty (30) minute or <br />one (1) hour unpaid meal period shall be made by the Police Chief <br />or their designee. <br />d. 207(k) 4/10 Work Schedule. Employees shall work sixteen (16) ten <br />hour workdays in each twenty-eight (28) day FLSA Work Period. <br />5 <br />
