b. 4/10 Work Schedule. Employees shall work four (4) ten (10) hour <br />days per seven (7) consecutive days, one hundred sixty-eight (168) <br />hour Standard Work Period. Each workday shall consist often (10) <br />hours of work, and either a thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour rmpaid <br />meal period. The determination as to a thirty (30) minute or one (1) <br />hour unpaid meal period shall be made by the Police Chief or their <br />designee. <br />C. 9/80 Work Schedule. Employees shall work alternate weeks of four <br />(4) consecutive workdays nine (9) consecutive hours each followed <br />by five (5) consecutive workdays, four (4) of which consist of nine <br />(9) consecutive hours each and one (1) day of eight (8) consecutive <br />hours during each one hundred sixty-eight (168) hour Standard <br />Work Period. Each nine (9) hour workday shall consist of nine (9) <br />hours of work and either a thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour unpaid <br />meal period. For employees who work a 9/80 work schedule, their <br />FLSA work period shall begin exactly four (4) hours after the start <br />time of their eight (8) hour workday. The eight (8) hour workday <br />shall be divided by either a thirty (30) minute or one (1) hour unpaid <br />meal period. The determination as to a thirty (30) minute or one (1) <br />hour unpaid meal period shall be made by the Police Chief or their <br />designee. <br />d. 12/40 Work Schedule. Employees shall work three (3) twelve (12) <br />hour and thirty (30) minute workdays and one (1) four hour workday <br />in each seven (7) consecutive day, one hundred sixty-eight (168) <br />hour Standard Work Period. Each workday shall consist of eleven <br />(11) hours and thirty (30) minutes of work, and a one (1) hour meal <br />period, thirty (30) minutes of which shall be paid and thirty (30) <br />minutes of which shall be unpaid, for a total of twelve (12) hours <br />and thirty (30) minutes. The four (4) hour workday shall consist of <br />four (4) hours of work. Employees who work this shift actually <br />work an eight (8) hour shift where their FLSA work period shall end <br />exactly four (4) hours after the start time of their shift. This way the <br />second four (4) hours of the shift is worked in the next FLSA work <br />period. This ensure that the employee is schedule to work forty (40) <br />hours in each work period. <br />2. Alternate Work Period Schedules-207(k) Exempt Employees. <br />a. 207(k) 3/12.5 Work Schedule — Patrol/Canine. Employees shall <br />work thirteen (13) twelve (12) hour and thirty (30) minute workdays <br />in each twenty eight (28) day FLSA Work Period. Of the thirteen <br />(13) workdays, an employee assigned to this schedule shall be <br />required to work one (1) twelve (12) hour and thirty (30) minute <br />"payback" day each twenty-eight (28) day FLSA Work Period, <br />scheduled or assigned pursuant to the Department's work schedule <br />4 <br />
