Helpmates will provide a comprehensive catalog of clerical, office,accounting, other related administrative <br />support service and professional options to the City. <br />2. Helpmates further agrees to; <br />a. Provide appropriate methods to match the City's needs within the specified time frames. <br />b. Coordinate all scheduled work dates with the City at least one business day before the start of an <br />assignment. <br />c. Provide a detailed proposal and invoice, according to the specifications prescribed by the City <br />department. <br />d. Helpmates will ensure the following criteria prior to recommending an temporary worker for <br />placement at the City: <br />• Ensure work authorization has been obtained and is current for individuals <br />referred to the City for assignment via Form I-9, Employment Eligibility <br />Verification. <br />• Ensure that Live Scan fingerprinting and/or background check have been <br />processed, completed and passed (if requested by the City) <br />• Ensure that temporary worker(s) recommended for an assignment meet all <br />essential job functions and minimum qualification requirements for the various <br />types of services. <br />• Ensure that typing speed of the selected temporary worker is at least 30 wpm, <br />and Microsoft Office abilities have been tested and are met with positive results <br />as required. <br />• Ensure due diligence employment verification/references of the temporary <br />worker selected for an assignment to verify positive work history. <br />• Ensure the temporary worker is bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese <br />when required for an assignment. <br />• Verify that temporary worker is not a retired annuitant of the California Public <br />Employees' Retirement System (CAPERS). <br />All of the screening checks are conducted on every potential Helpmates Specialist that will work for Helpmates at <br />the City. We believe this is an important cornerstone of our assessment and hiring process, as well as the industry <br />leading quality results we deliver. <br />3. Helpmates will not impose a temporary to permanent placement fee. It is not applicable for temporary workers <br />that are hired by the City through a competitive recruitment process, regardless of introduction or assignment by <br />Contractor. Direct hire placement is only applicable for direct hire placement requests or if a temporary worker was <br />hired without a competitive recruitment process. <br />RFP No, 23-051 Temporary Staffing Services Page 3 of 18 <br />
