2. SCOPE OF SERVICES & SCHEDULE <br />GRIFFIN STRUCTURES 1 27 <br />RFIs: As with shop drawings and submittal <br />reviews, Griffin will process and coordinate <br />the distribution of all RFIs in a manner <br />that achieve efficient design solutions and <br />maintains construction progress without <br />diminishing the design intent. <br />Review all Change Orders: Griffin will review <br />all change orders and provide supplemental <br />information as needed to justify their approval <br />or rejection. Griffin will negotiate with the <br />Contractor on the City's behalf and serve as <br />the point of contact for resolving issues and <br />mitigate against potential claims. Specifically, <br />Griffin will seek to avoid claims as detailed <br />a bove. <br />Cost Control System: We will use its extensive <br />cost controls system to establish a master <br />budget that captures all costs associate with <br />the project and will provide regular updates <br />to the City throughout the duration of the <br />project. <br />Coordination of Other Consultants: Griffin will <br />coordinate and oversee the scheduling of all <br />other consultant inspections including but <br />not limited to geotechnical, NPDES, materials <br />testing, deputy inspection, and special <br />laboratory testing. <br />Coordinate with Project Designer: As with the <br />design phase, Griffin will coordinate with and <br />manage the project design consultants to <br />ensure all information is transmitted to and <br />from the respective consultants efficiently to <br />achieve the overall project objectives. <br />Job Safety: Crucial to the success of any project <br />is safety. Griffin will employ its extensive <br />experience to oversee the contractor's safety <br />program and will inspect the site regularly in <br />that regard. Griffin will report any infraction <br />to the contractor immediately and ensure the <br />observed deficiency is rectified. <br />Progress Payments: We will establish, or <br />cause to be established by the contractor, a <br />comprehensive Schedule of Values for the <br />entirety of the project for approval by the City. <br />Once approved this schedule will serve as the <br />basis for all progress payments, which Griffin <br />will review for consistency with progress in <br />the field and make recommendations to the <br />Contractor for correction. Once corrected, <br />Griffin will then make recommendations to <br />the City for processing. <br />Labor Compliance: Consistent with SIB 854, <br />Griffin will require and enforce the Dept. <br />of Industrial Relations' requirements for <br />enrollment in the DIR's labor compliance <br />data base. Griffin has partnered with The <br />Solis Group to provide monitoring of certified <br />payroll and to conduct field interviews. <br />Quality Assurance: We will serve as the'eyes <br />and ears' of the City for quality assurance. <br />Accordingly, Griffin will walk the site regularly <br />and inspect all installations for consistency <br />with the construction documents. <br />GRIFFIN <br />STRUCTURES <br />
