<br />AGENDA TITLE
<br />Approve Agreements with David Evans and Associates, Inc., David Volz Design,
<br />Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., MIG, Inc., NUVIS, PlaceWorks, RJM Design Group,
<br />Inc., RRM Design Group, Studio One Eleven, and Verde Design, Inc. for On -Call
<br />Landscape Architectural Services in an Aggregate Amount Not to Exceed $5,000,000
<br />for up to a Five -Year Term (General Fund and Non -General Fund)
<br />RECOMMENDED ACTION
<br />Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with David Evans and Associates,
<br />Inc., David Volz Design, Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., MIG, Inc., NUVIS,
<br />PlaceWorks, RJM Design Group, Inc., RRM Design Group, Studio One Eleven, and
<br />Verde Design, Inc. to provide on -call landscape architectural services, for a shared
<br />aggregate amount not to exceed $5,000,000, for a three-year term beginning May 16,
<br />2023 and expiring May 15, 2026, with provisions for two, one-year extensions, subject
<br />to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.
<br />DISCUSSION
<br />On February 22, 2023, the Public Works Agency's Parks, Fleet, and Facilities Division
<br />released Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 22-097, by which it sought the services of
<br />qualified consulting firms to provide on -call landscape architectural services. These
<br />services are required to augment City staff effort to complete the timely delivery of park
<br />system facility improvements. Landscape architectural services are professional
<br />services related to the planning, design, construction management, and operation of
<br />parks infrastructure and facilities.
<br />The RFP was advertised on PlanetBids and proposals were received digitally via
<br />PlanetBids on March 15, 2023. The City notified a total of 68 regional vendors via
<br />PlanetBids, one of which is Santa Ana -based. Fifteen proposals were received and
<br />evaluated by a selection committee. Based on criteria outlined in the RFP, the following
<br />summarizes the top responding firms:
