<br />Engineers for On -Call Engineering Services in an Aggregate Amount Not to Exceed
<br />$5,000,000, for up to a Five -Year Term (Non -General Fund).
<br />RECOMMENDED ACTION
<br />Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with Kimley-Horn, Tetra Tech, Huitt-
<br />Zollars, Inc., RICK Engineering Company, Mark Thomas & Company, Inc., Psomas,
<br />Ardurra Group, Inc., CWE, Willdan Engineering, X Engineering & Consulting, Inc.,
<br />Kleinfelder, Inc., IDS Group, Inc., TAIT & Associates, Inc., Alta Planning + Design, Inc.,
<br />and KPFF Consulting Engineers to provide on -call engineering services for a shared
<br />aggregate amount not to exceed $5,000,000, for a three-year term beginning May 16,
<br />2023 and expiring on May 16, 2026, with the provision for one, two-year extension,
<br />subject to non -substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney.
<br />DISCUSSION
<br />On February 21, 2023, the Public Works Agency (PWA) released Request for Proposal
<br />(RFP) No. 23-030 to select professional engineering firms to provide on -call engineering
<br />services on an as -needed or on -call basis. These services are required to augment City
<br />staff efforts to complete delivery of capital improvement projects, which includes
<br />professional services related to the design, construction management, and operation of
<br />public works infrastructure and City facilities.
<br />The RFP was advertised on the City's online procurement management and publication
<br />system, PlanetBids, with electronic proposals due on March 14, 2023. Twenty-eight
<br />responsive proposals were received and evaluated by a selection committee composed
<br />of PWA staff. Based on criteria outlined in the RFP, the top 15 professional engineering
<br />firms were selected. The following table summarizes the responding firms and their
