G) <br />City of Santa Ana I On -Call Engineering Services <br />RFP NO.: 23-030 <br />Scope of Services <br />IDS'approach to all task order assignments will be to act as the City's <br />Engineering Design consultant for all design and approval -related <br />activities. The discussion of scope of work and services below are <br />general and would need to be modified to suit each specific project <br />assignment. The following paragraphs contain the basic steps to take <br />a project from conception to bidding. Note that not all projects will <br />involve all steps, projects that consist only of studies or due diligence <br />report will of course have different deliverables as outlined in the City <br />Guidelines of projects delivery. <br />Schematic Design <br />Field Review/Code Compliance: Research project scope thorough field review and interviews with <br />key stakeholders. The findings of the field review and interviews will be compared to the relevant <br />materials furnished by the city and to applicable codes including current ADA codes. <br />Schematic Design: Develop schematic designs and associated cost estimates for the project. <br />The schematic designs will form the basis of initial presentation and review. The schematic <br />designs will also be utilized to develop environmental technical studies and subsequent <br />environmental documents. <br />0 Incorporate Plans with City's Standards: The finished plans will be prepared consistent with the <br />City's business standards. <br />Design Development <br />Experienced Team: Mobilize a team of experts suited to the project scope, immediately following <br />the approval of the conceptual design and authorization of a design contract. The team will be led <br />by the project manager with oversight from the supervising principal. <br />Kick-off Meeting: Assemble the project team with the City's representatives for a project kick- <br />off meeting during which the conceptual design will be reviewed, and a timeline for the design <br />development phase and construction document phase will be established. <br />Meeting with Stakeholders: Meet with all project stakeholders and review agencies to update all <br />project scope aspects and to establish a sequence for the project review and approval, such that <br />all reviews proceed in a logical fashion to minimize conflicting review comments and schedule <br />impacts. <br />Progress Meetings: Maintain a regular schedule of progress meetings throughout the design <br />progress. A schedule of milestone progress submittals will also be established based upon the <br />scope and the most logical sequence to fast -track the design process. <br />AA IDS GROUP Page 26 <br />
