TAIT & Associates, Inc. <br />On -Call Engineering Services <br />OCAnimal Care Facility <br />Tustin, CA <br />TAIT prepared rough and precise grading plans, street plans, sewer and water <br />plans, fire water protection plans, Water Quality Management Plan and the <br />Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan for a 10-acre site on the former MCAS- <br />Tustin. This County of Orange project was the first Design -Build project by the <br />County. The contract was award in the spring of 2016 and a Rough Grading <br />Permit was issued by the City of Tustin in July 2016 while the OC Animal Care <br />and the Design -Build Contractor finalized the facility ands site improvements. <br />As part of the Design TAIT coordinated the project's containment wall and <br />fence locations and develop a site accessibility plan for the overall project. The <br />facility includes a 2-story 40,000 SF administration building with state of the <br />art veterinary facilities, six dog kennels, special cat housing quarters and a <br />small corral. Separate parking lots provide for the public and staff parking lots <br />which repurposed nearly 1-acre Of existing concrete tarmac. The project also <br />includes eight stormwater bio-filtration basins to treat storm water runoff <br />from the site before it enters the public storm drain system.
