CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />RFP NO.:22-133 <br />ON -CALL ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR. PFAS TREATMENT SYSTEMS <br />The Consultant shall provide cost estimates for the treatment facility equipment, any <br />necessary land acquisition to accommodate d treatment system(s), permitting, plumbing <br />connections, transmission alignments and system integration. The Consultant shail also <br />include capital, maintenance and operation cost estimates for IX treatment systems), <br />F. PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE <br />The Consultant shall develop a preliminary phasing schedule for construction in the <br />Planning Study. The plan is intended to provide the City a schedule and projected annual <br />outlays for financial planning. In the preliminary schedule, the Consultant shall include the <br />antioipat.ed duration of construction as well as any necessary utility extensions required, <br />G, FINAL. REPORT <br />The final report shaii include discussion of all sterns listed herein and shall be submitted <br />to the City for review and comments, The Consultant shall provide a PDF digital copy of <br />the. preliminary report and shall incorporate all comments made by the City prior to <br />suornitting of the final report. <br />In additlon to the aforementioned items, the final report shall. also include one or More <br />sections surn.marizing major findings, any significant ci7alleCtges or common Cherries <br />relevant to the.City'�s system, and recommend anyfuture actions by the City as next steps <br />towards PFAS treatment implementation, The report shall contain .descriptions of <br />operation and maintenance such as IX resin frequency of:chartge out., egUlprinent details, <br />sample/analysis frequency, and what staff augmentation/certification is required, <br />I DESIGN PHASES. <br />Once the Planning Study has been completed, the Consultant shall provide design services <br />including preparation of design sheets, specifications and permitting, All submittals described <br />herein shaii be provided in the form of a PDF digital copy (full-size). The designphases shall <br />include, b,ut are not limited to the following items: <br />A. DRAFT DESIGN REPORT (10.% DESIGN SUBMITTAL,} <br />The Contractor Is required to create. a Preliminary Design Report (PDR) based on the <br />Planning Study for each treatment site requested by the Clty. The P D R shall be considered <br />a 10% design level package for the project in which the IX wellhead treatment project goals <br />and design criteria are addressed with alternatives, analysis and potential risks, <br />13, FINAL, DESIGN REPORT (30% DESIGN SUBMITTAL) <br />After the City defines the major design elements of the project and refines the project,$ <br />scope, schedule and budget expressed in the preliminary design report, the Consultant shall <br />develop the Final Design Report, The Final Design Report shall be considered a 30% design <br />...._. _-..................w <br />City of Santa Are RFF' 22-133 <br />On -Call Engineering Design Servioos for PFAS 1"reatment Systems <br />Page '16 <br />
