CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT AGREEMENT <br />PROJECT 19-6948 (ATPSBIL-5063(195)) <br />WEST WILLITS PROTECTED BIKE LANES FROM FAIRVIEW STREET TO RAITT STREET <br />• To furnish within 20 days following the date of loading for shipments originating within the United <br />State or within 30 working days following the date of loading for shipments originating outside <br />the United States, a legible copy of a rated "on -board" commercial ocean bill -of -lading in English <br />for each shipment of cargo described in paragraph (1) of this section to both the Contracting Officer <br />(through the prime contractor in the case of subcontractor bills -of -lading) and to the Division of <br />National Cargo, Office of Market Development, Maritime Administration, Washington, DC <br />20590. <br />• To insert the substance of the provisions of this clause in all subcontracts issued pursuant to this <br />Contract. <br />15. FEDERAL TRAINEE PROGRAM <br />For the Federal training program, the number of trainees or apprentices is <br />This section applies if a number of trainees or apprentices is specified in Special Conditions. <br />As part of the CONTRACTOR's equal opportunity affirmative action program, provide on-the-job <br />training to develop full journeymen in the types of trades or job classifications involved. <br />The CONTRACTOR primary responsibility for meeting this training requirement. <br />If the CONTRACTOR subcontracts a Contract part, determine how many trainees or apprentices are to <br />be trained by the subcontractor. Include these training requirements in each subcontract. <br />Where feasible, 25 percent of apprentices or trainees in each occupation must be in their 1 st year of <br />apprenticeship or training. <br />Distribute the number of apprentices or trainees among the work classifications on the basis of the <br />CONTRACTOR's needs and the availability of journeymen in the various classifications within a <br />reasonable recruitment area. <br />Before starting Work, the CONTRACTOR shall submit to the CITY: <br />• Number of apprentices or trainees to be trained for each classification <br />• Training program to be used <br />• Training starting date for each classification <br />The CONTRACTOR shall obtain the CITY's approval for this submitted information before the <br />CONTRACTOR starts Work. The CITY credits the CONTRACTOR for each apprentice or trainee the <br />CONTRACTOR employs on the Work who is currently enrolled or becomes enrolled in an approved <br />program. <br />The primary objective of this section is to train and upgrade minorities and women toward journeyman <br />status. The CONTRACTOR shall make every effort to enroll minority and women apprentices or trainees, <br />such as conducting systematic and direct recruitment through public and private sources likely to yield <br />
