<br />AGENDA TITLE
<br />Award Blanket Order Contracts to HD Supply, Snap -on, WESCO Distribution, Inc; and
<br />White Cap, LP for Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies and Equipment in the
<br />Annual not to Exceed Aggregate Amount of $565,000 for a One -Year Term Ending on
<br />March 31, 2024, with Provisions for up to Five Additional One -Year Renewal Periods
<br />(Specification No. 23-015) (General Fund)
<br />RECOMMENDED ACTION
<br />Award a blanket order contract to vendors listed below for as -needed maintenance,
<br />repair, operating supplies, and equipment for a one-year term ending on March 31,
<br />2024, with provisions for up to five one-year renewal periods in accordance with each
<br />vendor's respective contract terms and conditions, subject to non -substantive changes
<br />approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. The annual aggregate not -to -exceed
<br />amount is $565,000, with a total aggregate not -to -exceed amount of $3,390,000 for the
<br />entire term, including renewal periods exercisable by the City Manager.

<br />DISCUSSION
<br />The Public Works Agency's Water Resources Division operates and maintains 20 active
<br />water wells and seven water pumping stations, supplying the City's drinking water and a
<br />sanitary sewer system consisting of approximately 390 miles of pipelines. HD Supply
<br />and Snap-On provide maintenance, repair, and operating supplies and equipment,
<br />including many power tools and related equipment used on a daily basis by staff to
<br />perform immediate electrical, plumbing, and general repairs at various City buildings,
<br />including parks facilities, libraries, recreation and senior centers, Santa Ana Zoo, City
<br />Hall, Corporate Yard, Police Administration, and Holding Facility. HD Supply and Snap -
<br />on offer short lead times for materials, supplies, and equipment required for daily
<br />operations. To facilitate this process, annual blanket order contracts will be established
<br />with the four vendors.
